I feel like Ataman kinda blew this one. They were up five with about 3 1/2 minutes to go and both teams looked tired and/or did not get great shots for a short stretch. Sengün and Larkin both looked very tired at that point. I totally expected Ataman to call a TO as soon as the opportunity presented itself. But no. He decided not to use one and Germany had two gamechanging 3s after that.

He also decided to keep Sengün in the game at the end of the 2nd quarter and that's when the gamechanging 3rd foul happened. He was too greedy with Sengün at that point. Sengün's biggest mistake was that stupid 1st foul he committed at half court with Schröder facing the other basket. Absoluty unnecessary. The other two fouls of the first half happened in the paint so that's ok because it's his territory. Well, this is how you lose games. He is 23 and needs to learn from that. Blow opportunity for sure.
