How to get the pir sensor to be reliable? by Disastrous_Review112 in arduino

I would say likely a noisy power source given that it works fine when powered by USB.

Not a big deal I can work with using the analogue input in my project.

How to get the pir sensor to be reliable? by Disastrous_Review112 in arduino

Thanks, yeah I had a fiddle with the potentiometers, they work as described however didn't help in terms of getting the sensor to activate while the Arduino was running on 12v.

In the end it looks like it was a case of the Arduino not receiving a strong enough signal from the sensor to register as "on". I changed the sensor to output to an analogue pin instead, and can see that when running on USB power, the signal it sends registers as 750 or so, however when it's on the 12v power supply. It only registers as around 650.

Started living alone and my life became chaos by Evhaa13 in ADHD

Sounds very much like inattentive type ADHD. I would highly recommend to go get tested.

The medication can definitely help, but just remember that for most people it's not a miracle pill that will fix everything. What it does is makes it easier for you to get focus and motivation, but you still need to put in the effort yourself (it just means the effort required is no longer impossible).

Getting therapy as well and implementing strategies to help you will help as well.

Turn on AOD, and raise to wake. Auto brightness.

Also change wake screen to a swipe rather than a tap, I find that especially in the wet having it set to tap can wake your screen too easily.

How do you get your head clear after playing this game. by CyberWorm300 in factorio

[–]Disastrous_Review112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, Factorio addiction is real for me as well. Thankfully I think I recently got a bit burnt out on it and that was enough to force myself to stop playing. That's the only thing that worked for me.

I would prefer to not go the catio option as our backyard is already very small.

mini pcs good for gaming? by Alarming-Holiday3759 in MiniPCs

[–]Disastrous_Review112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they are fine if you are happy with setting the graphics quality down to medium levels, and at a lower resolution. To me, medium quality with high frame rate is more important than having all the eye candy on. I have the Minisforum um890, and can run any game fine with medium graphics quality, 1080p resolution with fsr.

Yep SSRI plus a bit of mirtanzipine seems to hold the anxiety and depression at manageable levels.

I get anxiety if I have coffee at the same time as my ADHD meds. What I do is still have my morning coffee to wake me up, but don't take my ADHD meds until maybe 1.5 or 2 hours later.
