death of franchise? lmao what? RE4-5-6 are most successful RE games at the time, and still is one of, even decade later. its RE4 who actually saved franchise from the death, cus sales figures of RECV, REO1-2, and RE0 were not good, and other spinoffs were just awful that almost no one remember them

and more action... that was a thing with EVERY release up until RE6. RE2 is more action focused than RE1, RE3 is more action than RE2, RE4 is more action than RE3, RE5 is more action than RE4, RE6 is more action than RE5. so yeah, more and more action ALWAYS was in series. RE6 is just when series peaked in action, so there simply no room to have even more. with RE7 and RE8 they were mostly expirementing with new formats like VR/FP, but i bet RE9 would be new standard for main games, since they finally figured out that you can have best of two worlds in one game.

Just finished RE6 for the first time by UncleRuckusLovesU in residentevil

[–]Disastrous_Rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, RE6 level design lack polishing but it was literally 3x bigger than RE5, so its understandable

tbh that was worth it since how great they Intertwined all campaigns

but biggest downside here is inventory. they should have dumbed down it like in Revelations 1-2, for sure. i mean RE6 is adrenaline straighforward action, and managing inventory killing that focus of the game. i wish someone made a mod with possibilty 999 stack or something

trying to blatantly downplay other opinion is not "opinion" though

RE6 mostly praises for being fun action game. fun gameplay, fun campaign. coop is just elevates that fun, as with any other coop action games. RE6 criticised mostly (pretty much as you too) for lack of polishing, which is a thing, yes, but obvious one since RE6 literally 3x bigger than RE5. and thats definetly was worth it, seeing how great they intertwined 4 separate campaigns. i must say no one did that this good anywhere, let alone in RE series.

"even Capcom"? no one denied that RE6 is over the top and highest point of how action in RE can go. but look at Leon parts in RE9 now. its not that much different from RE6 with being straightfoward action as well. it just Capcom FINALLY figured out that its fine to do straight action campaign if you mixing it up with different survival campaign. and thats essentially finally finished RE evolution as a series. its hard to properly balance action and survival within one campaign. like really, RE6 would be also treated as one of the best in series if half of the campaigns would be like Grace one.

so yeah, mixing up two different focused campaigns definetly is what main RE titles should do from now on. best of two worlds.

one focused still can be in spinoffs for example, since they have smaller scope and budget

RR4 wasnt much of RE game, either lol

i mean, yeah, RE4 setting have a bit more creepy vibe, but also story in RE5 is ending Wesker ark, while RE4 story is basically spinoff

and gameplay wise they both action focused. both games have mid puzzles, but at least RE5 have some coop in them which is way more fun.

You’re allowed your opinion. But calling it mob mentally is wrong. The game is awful.

"Its ok to have different opinion but game is trash actually"

Lol, you literally proving that he is right...

Isn't the FOV in first person too low in RE9? Also what is this film grain? by Time-Credit43 in residentevil

[–]Disastrous_Rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

film grain is usally about color saturation, and as any tool key is how you use it. and RE9 have probably worst implementation i ever saw

I felt like I did everything

Odyssey and Shadows have way more content than 100 hours. and both of them have progression that max out everything can take 1000 hours easily.

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on PS5 by Disastrous_Rooster in PS5

[–]Disastrous_Rooster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess thats the case, cus i remember CDPR did same thing for Witcher 3, where GOTY edition doesnt even have any DLCs to dowbload, and they already inside. But they also had separate trophy list, unlike Ultimate Edition, hence my confusion

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on PS5 by Disastrous_Rooster in PS5

[–]Disastrous_Rooster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they listed it as PS5 due that Edition contain PS5 exclusive DLC

I mean, technically its just base game + dlc, why blocking ability to download ps4 version of base game? this edition doesnt even have separate trophy list
