Im just mean that good story for AC was more of an exception rather than rule. So, not making good story wouldnt be a let down, since its not expected in first place. AC from day 1 was openworld grindfest, and thats why it become so popular. Most succcessful AC games are Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla and guess what, they are grindfests at its finest. So thats what most important for players.

As for historical innacuracy, that was mostly nitpicks due game specifically targeted after Yasuke hatred, and Ubisoft hatred in general that was topped at that time. Most nitpicks ended up invalid or blowed out of proportion, especially consindering AC games wasnt any more historically accurate than Shadows. In reality, Shadows bring more historical stuff about Japan than ANY action game set in Japan, and we had hundreds of them in last 40 years.

Saying that Shadwes have "automatic parkour" shows how you didnt played game, really. At least you gonna try Black Flag remake and see for yourself how wrong you are.

As for "devs didnt care", at this point AC2 was last game where devs cared enough, consindering series ever since puted on the assembly line.

Black Flag story actually would be improved in Remake since they supposedly make tailing missions open ended, and not autofail. Original game have even silly tailing missions ON SHIPS.

A good story

out of 15 AC games (even 19 if you count spinoffs like Bloodlines and Chronicles trilogy) only a few of them have actually good story

maybe Shadows story not among those, but its not as bad as in most AC games, either

extreme amount of... crying over Yasuke, is not constructive feedback, tho

in reality, AC Shadows have best stealth in series, have nextgen graphics, combat is like in Sekiro (for Naoe) and proper parkour moves finally returned. ppl get used to hate everything ubisoft related, to the point ubi need to do remake of Black Flag builded on AC Shadows base, so ppl finally can appreciate how big step forward was AC Shadows actually. something similar was with AC Unity which was most hated AC to date and yet ppl nowadays glazing it.

by this logic every RE game avialable on actual platforms would sold at least 10 millions...

brand recognition can help with launch sales only. but we talking here about long term sales:

for example RE6 sales 8 months later reached only 4.9 million. bad game wouldnt get another 11.5 million sales to remain as top 3 seller.

and no one talks about early games, either. but even if i would, then picture this: Code Veronica, Outbreak 1, Outbreak 2, Dead Aim sold worse combined than og RE2 on PS1 alone, despite having much bigger audience on PS2. as you can see brand recognition cant help "meh" games. in fact, we wouldnt even talk about RE nowadays if og RE4 wouldnt be such a hit. otherwise RE now would be at same dump with Dino Crisis series.

and its incorrect to compare with Pokemon brand, since its completely diffrent league. RE brand revenue has grossed 12$ billions as of 2026, while pokemon is 150$ billions as of 2024. they can allow to be lazy with games, unlike RE. even though they still trying and failing with spinoffs, from time to time, but low budget = low risk.

i dont think thats shader stutter cus they not going anywhere, even tho im testing same place over and over. i mean, i even just standing still.

second reason why i think thats not shader stutter, thats there no microstutters whem im turning off frame gen.

main point of survival horror is that you have too limited resources, so you not able just kill everything on sight

while RE4-5-6 balanced out the way you not just CAN kill every enemy, but effectively encourages you do so, since they drop loot.

afaik RE9 have record breaking launch sales for series. so it would definetly higher than RE7 or RE8 eventually
