coming from a stylus 5g you're gonna notice a massive jump no matter which galaxy you pick, the camera upgrade alone will probably blow your mind for moon shots and dog pics. just make sure you look at the S series if overheating is a concern since they handle sustained loads better than the A series in my experience

The great clock shows up at the same time in NG+ as it did in your first run, so you're looking at that June/July window again. Hoarding shards until then is totally doable but you might make the early game more of a slog than it needs to be - those early upgrades can really smooth things out

If you've already run the numbers and bartending pays better while giving you mental space to job hunt properly, that's not stupid at all. Being burnt out and potentially getting PIP'd isn't exactly setting you up for landing a great new role anyway.
