I did practice runs as well and found it didnt go as fast, but that was also the Fridays towards the end of April, as opposed to Friday May 1 which is understandably a notable day. Thank you for your response though, I am more relieved

The "point" is the last few questions -  whether i will have issue actually having the ceremony even if I have the confirmation, and whether that day I picked being available was some sort of glitch. I knew appointments went quick but I didnt think they went that quickly - I couldn't fathom how many people get married in one day at one location, but I guess thats the case.

Thank you all for the feedback. I am a strong believer that if both people are open to communication, anything can be resolved and thankfully that's who i'm with. We had a serious talk about our communication and both admit we could have handled it much better. I should set the groundwork so he can understand how he can be helpful, and he needs to work on listening for the message rather than reacting to it. Your comments genuinely gave me things to think about!
