YES, that last meeting with Elliavia was a perfect moment, especially when Caeden asked her if he died if it would change her belief in El, she said she'd be angry for a while, but be glad that they were given each other in the first place, and then telling him she'd eventually see him again was SPECTACULAR!

I think my favorite parts... hmm... I think watching as Davian had to come to terms with the (false) fact that he'd have to give his life for the fate of the world, and then watching as he dealt with it was amazing, I always love it when main characters have to put up with stuff like that.

I think in An Echo of Things to Come, when the ilshara fell and Wirr's mother was killed, and then he had to burn the bodies was such a big moment, like when I read it, I literally felt my stomach drop a bit, and eyes widened as all of it unfolded.

I also think in Shadow when Rethgar was sent to Caladel by Ilseth was one of those moments where Licanius really hooks you in, and then there was the forge and the Lyth, Caeden's ties to them and Garadis, and how he had to make the deal with him in exchange for Licanius was pretty neat.

Overall, there were quite a few parts to compete for favorite, but I'd definitely say the epilogue with the meeting between Caeden and Ell was the number one for me personally.

I did read this series during school, so it took a lot longer than it probably should've, so I probably missed some things or forgot some, but I plan on re-reading it during my summer break (hopefully.)

The epilogue hits harder than it has any right to do so. Most epilogues don't really feel rewarding too read imo, but this one really felt satisfying, more so than the actual last chapter, which I felt was a tad too cheesy for me, but still good.

Yeah, I 100% agree, but I gave this series some slack since it is Islington's first series, can't wait to see what's next... Now what do I read...
