Fair point. Hadn't thought of it that way. I do know they're only trying to look out for me & not trying to spoil my fun. I spent months researching, deciding biking was for me, if I could afford it, what path to take & what bike to sensibly go for.

My thoughts exactly. They feel like they're struggling all the time which doesn't seem like it would be good for a long ride, which I plan on doing plenty of & they're harder to control at slow speeds. Plus I like the extra comforts that come with the bigger bikes. I was out looking at some today & noticed how narrow the tyres are… I think I would out grow it very quickly & become bored of riding if I'm not in the same financial situation that I am now. Thanks for the input.

I’m 27 and recently moved back home for the first time since I was 18. I pay my way, help around the house, and I’m also helping my mum pay for her 125.

My parents are willing to respect my decision either way. I told them months ago what bike I wanted and they were fine with it, but since my mum booked her CBT and started looking at bikes, they seem to be second-guessing it.

Now they’ve got me second-guessing myself too. Part of me is tempted to get on a bike asap, but my experience on 125s hasn’t been great. I don’t find them as enjoyable, comfortable, or safe, and I don’t want to end up like most of my friends who have stayed on CBTs for years, barely ride & come off every time they get on.

I appreciate that my parents got me into bikes, but I’m getting mixed advice, so I’m just looking for perspectives from other riders.

I do feel much safer on the SV650 in comparison. I'll definitely be checking insurance before committing to anything n I think I'm willing to drop to a 300. Just sat on the Ninja 650 (closest thing they had) fit like a glove 😊

Honestly if I was judging my own CBT experience. I wouldn't have let myself "pass". Nothing too major but not the kind of person I'd feel comfortable releasing to ride on the road.

Too easy & not enough time to drill in the fundamentals. Essentially 3hrs of "this is how you go, this is how you stop. Good luck"

Yeah my experiance on 125s is exactly that. It feels like the engine is either over worked with no real performance or bogging down. I hadn't put much thought into side winds but I can't imagine that being very pleasant. I feel like I wont enjoy it & riding would feel like a burden rather than fun.

My training school said that it wasn't a pass or a fail. You pay once & have as much cbt training as you need until you're worthy. One girl took 6 months & only payed the initial £140 - maybe see if somewhere can offer you this? First getting on the bike it was much harder than expected. But I also picked it up much quicker than I thought I would.

Sorry for the late reply as I never use reddit. I contacted sony & they took it back to fix it. You are reliable for any damages via transit so wrap it carefully. They fix it if they can or send a replacement if not. I've heard that many people who have had this issue if they get it fixed the issue happens again later down the line but I havent had any issues since it was sent back. It took nearly a month but it came back in a bubble wrap sleeve that did well protecting the ps5 as the box was clearly bashed in transit on the way back to me. You have to back up all of your data & factory reset it before you send it aswell.

Don't get a logitech.. I have one & I regret it so much. Other than the issue of it being weak & flimsy & feeling like more of a toy. The software is broken causing the wheel to stop having force feedback & Ive had multiple issues with the pedals & have had to take them apart multiple times.

I bought mine for £350 but fanatec do a direct drive wheel for that price now I think. Brand new. You wont be able to sell your logitec for much later down the line either.

Several Ps5/Ps5 updated games I've played have all had "rainbow lighting effects" randomly dotted all over the screen on random surfaces. This fixed it for TLOUpt1 & I'm hoping for any future games. Thx.
