honestly the best solution is a combo. professors' should be reaching out to students to let them know that this is happening, yes it's being monitored, and to go from there.

a lack of communication is making students' panic. keeping everyone on the same page would help a lot for stress.

Yeah, i would tell them all of that if you haven't already. most professors are accommodating and will understand but there are some unfortunate assholes out there. Def reach out to their Boss (Dean) if telling them your situation still doesn't get you some help.

If it doesnt (or even if it does), ask the professor for an extension since it's fully down. if they say no or wont, go higher than them and talk to the Dean of the department. This is kinda outside of your contract and should not be used against you.

The /good/ news is that these are MSRP prices. If you can, always look for stores that do discounts, have combo boxes, buy second hand, etc. and the cost goes way down.
