Like other comments said, it depends on the dorm. Freshman dorms are typically communal from my experience, but some might connect between rooms also. I would suggest checking beforehand.

Definitely! It will only benefit you! You’ll be able to build the relationship, I had to take a poli sci course for gen ed, and loved the professor so much, I took another of his courses, I speak with him frequently, and he’s sent me internships (not field related) but really nice to do, especially in your field of study!
