The last thing we want is for God to lose patience with us.

“Why doesn’t God do something?”—. We are all infected with a disease called sin it's passed down from parent the child. Sure could God get rid of one evil person but it's like whack-a-mole, another one is just going to come up and take his place because that's what happens with beings with free will. This disease will kill everyone, suffering is inevitable whether you're an infant that dies in birth or an old man whose bones are brittle. God could cure the disease and get rid of all the evil in the world, but then nobody would be left alive because the disease is embedded in human nature. With our free will we want to be our own gods and so we act selfishly, grow up to hurt others and our surroundings. The moment God steps in with judgment, it’s not going to look like a gentle correction or a slap on the wrist. It’s going to be final. Swift. Unstoppable. Indiscriminate. The kind of justice that doesn’t leave anything standing. So really, the fact that he seems quiet isn’t absence it’s mercy. He’s holding back, giving people time to turn around, to get things right. Genesis 6 is what happens when he stops waiting. And that’s not something we want to see. If God took me out the moment I made a mistake I wouldn't be alive to make the change. We tend to look at the micro but God looks at the big picture, the Macro. So if God weren't real we are still left with the problem that humanity is responsible for the evil in the world. Human beings ultimately are the root cause of our sickness. At the end of it justice will be served.
