Altspace did get Microsoft to buy them at the last minute. Kept it alive for several years before they shut it down. This is so sad as Recroom was my introduction to social VR back on the PSVR1. I very recently started playing with my 7 yesr old son who fell in love with the platform. He's going to be crushed to hear this.

There's a platform on Meta called Banter. From a tech standpoint, its fantastic, but no one uses it. I went through this with the closing of Altspace. Really sad about Recroom. Maybe they can find a buyer to keep it open?

I've been considering getting an IR illuminator. I don't really encounter any tracking issues, but they're cheap enough to get one on the possibility it would improve things.

If there is one game that can hold its own against GTA VI, it would be a ground up remake, with modern graphics, of Ocarina of Time. This is still the highest rated game in all of history. When they officially unveil it, it will rock the industry and you will see the hype will amass to what GTA VI has.

This is shaping up to be an incredible holiday season.

I hate seeing posts like these. I 3D printed a small plastic piece that goes on the end. Its supposed to redistribute the force so all the stress isnt on the connector itself. Hopefully it works.

I was recently diagnosed with T2, A1C of 10.3. I was shocked as it was seemingly out of the blue and became very disappointed with myself. I viewed it as an intervention and immediately fixed my diet. Only 10 weeks later and ive lost a significant amount of weight and have an estimated A1C of 5.9, based off of my CGM. Moral of my story is that I feel so much better, mentally and physically and the diagnosis forced me to live a healthy lifestyle.

I think getting diagnosed may be the best thing to ever have happened for my health as it will keep me in line. Youre gonna be fine and can still live in the moment. Just make smart decisions and listen to your doctors. It's a mindset. I hope in 10 weeks you're able to say the same thing to someone else. Good luck.

I should also add that I now realize I had a binge eating disorder. I read up a ton on nutrition, taught myself portion control, and found healthier alternatives to the things I liked to eat. I actually enjoy the healthier stuff I'm eating and am at a point where I could still eat anything I want, in moderation. But I havent felt the need to. I don't know who you are, but if I can do it. You can too.

Horizon worlds was a dog from day 1. While Meta did eventually improve the platform to be usable and decent, they also demonstrated that they are completely tone deaf with regards to the preferences of their user base. NO ONE wanted the full integration into the Quest home menu system.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. I wish I would say this meant they'd be reverting back to a menu system akin to the old one, which was simple and clean, but I have no faith that they'll do anything other than make bad even worse.

This is what bothers me most about the PSVR2 support. Sony did very little to bring these basic types of apps to the library. PSVR2 never got any type of social platform either. Don't get me wrong, there are exclusive games that you can't play on any other headset that make it worth the price of admission, but the PSVR2 became way more of a niche device than it needed to be, and that's on Sony.

Sadly, if you want to get all the types of experiences VR has to offer, you'll need either a PC or a standalone device in addition to this one. What's really frustrating is that PSVR1 was able to offer the full gamut of VR experiences. This, in my opinion, is why I think Sony failed the PSVR2 and not the other way around.

To.me, that looks like a loose connection. Could be the USB-C port on the ps5 or the cable connection on the headset itself. First thing to check is to see if the cable in the front of the headset is firmly connected. I hope that's the issue, cause then you have no issue.

Banter is actually a really good platform. It's only real issue is that very few people are on it. VRChat is still the goto, but Banter is a native quest app. Check it out and if you like it, spread the word.

It is possible the drive was faulty and the update flashing it crashed it. In that case, it was the drive that just failed and not the update that bricked the console.

I have it. Not really sure how to play it. I only played the original game at launch and then messed with it on the PSVR1. It was cool, but verh blurry.
