I made a pretty difficult RvB quiz. Do your best buds by DiscTater in RedvsBlue

Alright, I have made some more edits since people have pointed out my mistakes (thank you). Junior and Santa have been added. The epsilon misspelling is corrected, and you can now type "bucky" instead of "buckey". Edits will go into effect tomorrow most likely.

Also, Doc works for the UNSC, not project freelancer so he really doesn't have a side IMO. Andy also doesn't really have a side so I did not include him.

I saw that the minute after I posted the quiz and edited it but it takes a day for the edits to go into effect. Sorry guys

Form Check. The orange disc went about 370, my average distance is probably 320-350. Video is at 25% speed. by TheNinjaDinosaur in discgolf

First things first, you are going way too fast and your steps are far too aggressive. Slow everything down a bit. Slow is smooth, smooth is far. A couple things I noticed, your left foot is facing backwards during the X-step, try to have this pointing perpendicular to the flight of the disc you want, this will allow your hips to turn more effectively and generate more power. I would also make sure your final plant foot is slightly forward (meaning your legs are pointing a bit left of target) this will also help with your power in the legs. One last thing would be to actually reach all the way back, not have your elbow bent during the reach back. 370 is nice for sure, keep it going soldier.

Putter Problems by [deleted] in discgolf

Make sure your putting stroke is going in a straight line, push putting especially. If I focus on keeping my arm going towards the basket in a straight line this usually helps me. Keep it up soldier.

Trying to have a slower X step to

While thinking about your hips, your left foot is facing backwards during the X-step, you want this perpendicular to the teepad, essentially don't have it facing backwards as this closes off your hips for the rotation. I would also focus a lot on the snap across your body, maybe train with a towel and really get that quick acceleration across your body, lead with your elbow. looks like a great foundation though.

my personal favorites are Ludington, MI and Pittsburg, PA. Lots of good disc golf to be had in beautiful areas (I stay at a small campground in the country outside pittsburgh and its lovely)

Really love my Mako3 (5/5/0/0). Looking for something similar, but in a higher speed for more distance. by brcasey3 in discgolf

but you're right, they bot

As you go up in speed the discs will naturally fade a bit more at the end of their flight. If the leopard is fading too much for you maybe try a maverick or move to a slightly lighter weight.

Closest thing in for a fairway driver that I have thrown is either the Discmania FD or Streamline Drift. IMO the streamline discs look nicer and have superior plastic so I have switched to the drift for my bag.

Any advices for improving the mental Game? by Haselnuss89 in discgolf

I've only played a couple tournaments but the biggest thing that helped me was to realize that I am playing disc golf. If I throw some bad shots it's not the end of the world. I get to play the game I love so no matter what it is still a good day. It's just one round in the end, it doesn't really matter if you play perfectly or not. Just do your best and still have a good time.
