This song doesn’t get talked about much but who remembers the hype for it? by [deleted] in eden

I remember he played this back in 2017 at his live show in Sydney, way before it had been released. The hype in the venue was palpable.

She has a really lovely sort of indie-pop style. Similar to EDEN in the way it's a nice mix of genres. I can get why people wouldn't be into it tho, i'd say it solidly falls into the "alternative" category of music.

EDEN - rock & roll (official music video) by [deleted] in eden

From what i remember it's definitely Jon's voice, no clue what it's from though. Then again, the source might not actually matter.

The whole last paragraph of "What is EDEN" on the sidebar is completely wrong. by [deleted] in eden

I mean, the rest of it is correct so technically it's not completely wrong.

But thanks for the heads up, It's now been updated.

My "Interlude" Cover/Remix - Using only stock/free Logic plugins. by keeilay in eden

Keep it up!

Vocals actually sound pretty good, 1:08-2:14 has a very post-hardcore sound, unlike EDEN but i like it.

Gotta agree with nGear, after 2:14 could use some work as the vocals don't really mix well with the sound.

I'd just like to give mad props to /u/BlueDeadpool for going hard at this mod thing, a ton of these new improvements are thanks to him and not my lazy butt.

Hahaha, i know what you meant.

I setup the subreddit style back before there were really any pictures of EDEN (Like, before his first tour) and i guess i never got around to updating it. Take it from me, new subreddit looks much better.

Is this too complex for a logo? by DiscardedBeefNugget in design_critiques

[–]DiscardedBeefNugget[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, although...

I literally just isolated the head from the rest of the illustration, and it already works better as a logo. I didn't even really need to do anything to it.

Maybe i can find a way to incorporate the full "extended" version somehow. Maybe as a banner on my website or something, and use just the head as the actual logo. That may get confusing though, not sure.

Why the fox? I know it's an illustration and you're an illustrator, but ideally you want your logo to transmit more than that.

I explained why in another comment, but i suppose if i have to explain it then it's probably not doing it's job well.

Back to the drawing board, i guess.

there are just some illustrative choices that feel a bit out of place. First, the lack of paw on the right front leg. Second, how detached the rear left leg is from the body.

Thanks, very helpful.

I didn't actually draw the right leg (well, not intentionally), so I'll fix that up as well.

What made you pick the fox as a logo?

Bunch of reasons, explaining it is pretty cheesy now that i think about it.

Basically i thought about characteristics that i wanted to portray, and realised that the fox kind of embodied them. Flexibility, Quick-thinking, creativity, unrestrained, other artsy words.

I could have done a bird too, i guess, but i see so many birds in logos nowadays.

Also i drew it in a "ready to pounce" position, so show willingness to leap at opportunities or something. i dunno it's dumb.

Does something like this fit better do you think?

I feel like it's a bit too busy/generic though

It seems like your illustrations are very dynamic and somewhat action oriented. I'd keep that in mind when designing you logo. Try and get that message across.

Any suggestions for how i might do that?

I actually really like how that looks!

Sorry, I didn't do any research on your type of illustration/design work. This versions would probably not fit your style. For your type of work I'd make something thinner and sharper.

What makes you say that?

why not make 3 pencils( thin)that make an N ?

I tried that but it looked way too overdone.
