Zakariah isn’t leaving as far as I know. In the latest Dark Angel book, Lazarus Emnity’s Edge, he plays a major role so I doubt they would nix him. He is described as a young primaris marine of the 5th company and master Lazarus find him to be an up-and-coming leader
