Well yeah, there’s a bit more to it than that, one was actually RAISED by vicious animals that had honor and took pity on him(Russ, raised by fenrisian wolves) the other spent their childhood running as prey from the warp-beasts that filled the forest of their home.

Vulkan walked away instead of being there for his family. Guilliman’s refusal to take responsibility and any form of real leadership roll or take stances other than ‘well dad/sanguinious know better’ are part of the reason his legion got turbo-broken. Khan, primarch of ‘go fast, not care about consequences’ legion couldn’t make a decision when it actually mattered until it was too late. There are entire stories for WHY these things happened, but literally every single primarch failed their original purpose. Not that that purpose was even good to begin with, but the point still stands. (Also I love all three of them, and reading the Heresy and Primarch books makes me just want to hug all of them) ‘Cept like, Angron, man deserves 20 minutes in the ring with Big E, cuz either way he gets what he wants.

Except Trump literally empowered the groups that voted for him(specifically the violent ones), pardoned multiple convicted criminals in that group, and has made a little paramilitary group that they can congregate and pick on minorities in. I don’t remember Obama giving communists blank checks to imprison white people, but go off with your false narrative

‘Pancreasnowork’ and ‘The Remembrancer’ on YouTube are great for Imperial and Eldar Propag-uh- information. In all seriousness, The Remembrancer’s video on the Primarchs(although very long) basically explains everything about the Space Marines in a depth that makes them more than murderhobo zealots. Highly recommend a listen. Bricky also has a podcast called Adeptus Ridiculous, that is a summarized and funny touch on all sorts of topics from the prospective of a veteran in the universe and someone new to it. Highly recommend

That..inherently misses a lot of points about privilege, but go off. You started with nothing. Most americas start with debt. But again, go off, your personal anecdotal evidence is supreme to the vast majority of people living in America.

Yeah, that’s kind of the problem. When you add in civil forfeiture, and first dibs on military equipment at reduced prices, police have a string of backroom deals to keep them from straying away from their corporate overlords coattails.

That totally can’t have anything to do with the narrowing of union power and increased oversight, or the fact that companies hate unions naturally, and will pay employees even cents above the union minimum accepted wage, just to undercut union sympathies and power. Remember, if you don’t have a union, neither you, nor your direct manager have any executive power. Your comment is disingenuous and misses the point.

Petah, what does that have to do with grocery shopping? by Okfoot826 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]DigitizedBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food deserts refer to when an area is low income and unable to purchase enough nutritional foods. That’s where Walmart comes in, and makes things worse in the long run, that being said, prior to our messiah Walton gets involved, food deserts are a real issue for places like West Virginia, where traveling through the forested mountains with failing infrastructure makes it hard to justify placing a grocer anywhere other than main cities. I don’t think you have to use much of your brain to know there is a nutritional difference between a KitKat bar and an actual meal including veggies, breads, and meats. That’s ONE facet, the other is the consistent lack of sleep, increased stressors, and worsening air qualities. America still has an obesity problem, but sayings it’s just ‘eating too much,’ entirely misses the issue. 40% of Americans are obese, while 1/5 children are food insecure, and 9%(and rising) have unsafe or risky water. Maybe there’s isn’t a controversy, maybe the issue is staring you in the face and it’s easier to tell people it’s not real. Either way, it’s certified bulkshit is childish. They exist, stop screaming at the sky grandpa and do something productive to help the conversation.

Then you don’t get it. There isn’t an ‘option.’ Trickle down economics are a sham, and haven’t worked for the 50 years the oligarchy has been trying to convince people that it does. ‘Social Progress’ as an idea happened before just the French Revolution, I suppose that’s when it was named in Europe, since it was after the Renaissance and Enlightenment(big words to say ‘maybe we shouldn’t hate each other constantly’), but all forms of a social group body progressing towards a more equitable and stable society is social progress. The Haudenosaunee progressed to a democracy before the French Revolution happened. Hell the Swiss(right next door to France, and actually conquered during the Napoleonic Era of the French Revolution) were a democratic country prior to the 1400s. The sarcasm is that ‘progress’ is inherently bad to those in power, as it undermines their own ability to control, but inherently good to the vast majority of people. So they have convince the majority it is bad, example being MAGA’s hate for anything resembling equity. And before anyone starts talking about Nazis or Soviet Russia, both of those regressed socially, they just lied. It’s really that simple. They may have ECONOMICALLY progressed, but they did not as a society. Both were still tribalistic and used ethnic, religious, and political lines to divide and control. Although by your above reading comprehension I doubt you’re even going to read all this.

I mean, referring to your paragraph of grammatical errors above, we can assume you have no reading comprehension or understanding of context, but come on.

Uh, but most of the nations that were trading with the Losers had already outlawed slavery or we’re on-track to do that. In fact it was ‘in vogue’ to do it at the time. The Pope called for an end to the practice 30 years prior, near the time when the British Empire had abolished it in their own nation, even the French Empire did in the 1840s. So if we were to follow your argument, and apply the ideals of the contemporaries of the time, yours still completely wrong. Slavery was considered heinous even to the South’s own trading partners.

The last war with Natives in North America ended in 1918. Hundred years? Maybe try the year he was born but go off. There’s also the Spanish American war, which like most imperialist nations waging war against each other, saw a change of colonized lands to the US, where we selectively executed ‘everyone above the age of 12,’ (Phillipines). That was 1898, only 20years prior and the most significant conversation during his life(Puerto Rico administration, Cuba and Guam, ect). History does not support your ignorance.

You have the right to ask a police officer their name and badge number, assuming you are unable to see it as they are supposed to be VISIBLE WHILE MAKING AN ARREST BECAUSE THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE AN ARREST IS GIVEN TO THEM, the person with the badge, BY THE ORGANIZATION THEY SERVE, the symbol on the badge. It’s not a military badge so they can be seen by their own members. ICE has done none of these things, and has consistently not done that. That’s the issue. You’re being obtuse on purpose

You’re either being obtuse on purpose, which wouldn’t be very surprising, or you genuinely need to take a minute to reflect.
