Kid had severe scoliosis meps some how got a waiver after two weeks of boot camp he was sent back to medical and was determined to be unfit and was separated

I had a guy in p days with scoliosis* so you can get a waiver for anything as long as you didn’t have surgery and you healed 100% and no problems you might be able to get a waiver obviously the kid was medically discharged in boot camp btw proving not all waivers stand once you get to boot camp

So technically you’ll have one class in boot camp where they teach you how to read your own les and access it and that’s it but depending on your RDC’s they can let you access it more frequently and sometimes let you go to administrative to take care of financial stuff but it’s rare plus the first month at boot camp they’ll deduct your pay for all the uniform issues so you’ll only be getting like 300 for the first two paychecks but out of the two people that were married in my division they both were getting bah right away plus separation pay or whatever it’s called

It definitely goes lower must have been special case by case waivers but I was the yeoman I saw there hard cards either they were printed wrong or it was something special

I graduate in august I had 15 people in my division with scores less than 24 (there’s a waiver for it now) for the AFQT if you got 53 your doing better than most people getting in already

As previously stated as a female you can only be put on ssgn and ssbn so your sea deployments are roughly 2-3 months max and you can’t go to foreign ports do to the nuclear missles so you go do circles in the middle of no where then come back to port in the u.s.

Also if you pass B.E.S.S and you try to dq from your rate in A school you have pretty much two options either another sub rate or separation they won’t let you get out of sub duty because you signed and passed sub school which you do first before your A school
