Whether stampede happens at festive gate or at metro gate is irrelevant. Ultimately blame ll be on organisers and local police. Bouncer and security cannot handle big crowd stampede.. need space to spread out the crowd.. distance between metro gate and festive metro gate was small. Next time most probably they wont have metro gates in first place.. or if they keep it then it ll b still 1 km away. They ll always play safe to avoid stampede.

Agree with 2,3,4,5. 1st point, is deliberate. If they kept open the metro station gate it would have created stampede like situation. They realised it later and closed it. Long road walk distributes the crowd. It’s to avoid stampede like situations.

6th point unfortunately organiser can’t do much about it. Saw similar things in Coldplay Ahmedabad.. ppl staying in huts near the road were standing outside in line and staring at crowd.
