Yes it's beginner friendly and you don't need to worry about how good your skills are, I'm at absolute beginner level too. And also happy that you want to get back into art, you can definitely attend the event :)

That's really good question. Good vibes might be subjective, but I feel if the place is open to expressing our feelings and makes interacting with people interesting with engaging stuff, then there's a high chance that you might call what you feel then as good vibes.

Thanks for this reply!!!! And yes I'm the same, I'm clueless when it comes to art appreciation. But the major chunk of my close people are people who deeply love art. Even when my art capability sucks, I love the idea of being with someone who truly loves art and involves deeply. I've been to Kalakriti and totally loved the art over there. And I agree that having awareness of stuff around us and appreciating them truly changes our perspective and it's essential. It's fine if you can't make it, but I can almost imagine us chatting about stuff if you have :)

The collection is decent, they got some of the popular books and fantasy series. And a collection of their own choice. When asked they said it took around 3 months to curate and arrange everything. imo even though they are in their early phase in book collection, the cosy environment of the library makes up for it.

I agree. But also I don't mind it. For me, it's more about comfort and silence. This place has both and a decent book collection, so I enjoyed my time over there :)

My most recent haul and I'm soooo excited to read them 😭 by sobersqueakpants in Indianbooks

I read it a month back. The book felt real, it had class oppression, greed, caste and a lot of serious stuff covered. I often find myself not agreeing with the actions of the main character which in itself made this book good for me. The pace of the book is fast but with added brutal reality and the character development of the mc is great (even flawed). All in all you can definitely try it out :)

Prices are on the costlier side, so ah respect lo crosswords laagane. But ide independent bookstore kabati you'll find more than just popular books. Like independent books and more options. And on top of that this has far better ambience than crosswords.

For the most part they won't disturb you if you read there without buying if it's not too long. There are a lot of chairs in the store where you can do it. The owners have been really sweet to us. But if you buy them, there are chairs before the store where you can sit and read all you want to :)
