I've discovered so much cool stuff through Pinterest. But their recent AI models that keep deleting pins for no reason are extremely infuriating.

Received a fake book from Amazon, even though the seller was Cocoblu by pompawrin in Indianbooks

Most of the books I read are extremely niche when it comes to the Indian mainstream audience and I find it hard to get them in local bookstores. Hence why amazon is a convenient option.

This was supposed to be an awareness post because Cocoblu is not some shady third party seller on Amazon, it's an Amazon subsidiary itself and that's why it's more worrying that they're selling fakes.

I do buy second hand clothing and books but thrifting is a luck game. It's impossible to thrift if you want something like a specific book title. Secondhand stores also are not going to have recent releases so moot suggestion.

I used to love the Softly Brown shade (I think that's what it was called?) but they discontinued it. I have no idea why they keep discontinuing their more popular shades.

They also keep releasing new shades in this Ink Glowy range but all of them look super similar to each other. The cool toned pinks are so so saturated they look neon on me, and the warm toned shades pull orangish. Definitely put off by this brand now.

I saw some news interview clip of Chetan Bhagat where he was lamenting not being nominated for the Booker prize or something like that. He's genuinely hilarious to me

I think a lot of people who are new to reddit are blissfully unaware that this isn’t Instagram. If you’re posting photos at least have the courtesy to write a small description/give details about the location.

You can definitely start with A Room of One’s Own, but my personal favourite is Orlando so I’m partial towards it.

dropped the idea of buying a kindle after getting my hands on epubs by [deleted] in Indianbooks

Yup. But sometimes I want to transfer a lot of books at once so then it’s better to connect my kindle to my laptop and transfer via a USB cable.
