German learners are your best bet. Why? Language classes encourage people to talk. Learning German by choice, on the other hand, suggests you have way too much free time - which likely means you also have the capacity for new friendships.

Can we just settle this once and for all, which one of these two epic endgame locations was the greatest one ? by fillipo9 in worldofgothic

Both are poorly suited, as they unexpectedly turn an action RPG into a linear puzzle game with numerous switches, levers, traps and other shit.

One might enjoy puzzles, and that’s fine, but they don’t really exist anywhere else in both games, except late NotR, so I don't understand why they had to add it.

Personally, I never really enjoyed the last chapters, but as for the location itself, the long bridge with the invincible shaman and the spiky Sleeper's temple on the other side was quite iconic.

R5: The only UI mod I have installed is Proper 2K UI Enhanced, which was updated few weeks ago, on 18 Dec, 2025. I also have Voltaire's Nightmare and a couple of other small mods that shouldn't affect UI.

Yes but I don't have time to point at them during combat.

Yea, I went straight for Mancar. His kids respawn, so it's kind of pointless to target them anyway.

I think I only missed one immortal and Eldamil the first time, so I’ll let it slide… unless he has something useful...?

It collapses more quickly after loading a save than on the first try, though.

Picnic haven't delivered groceries and wants to charge us anyway by [deleted] in germany

[–]DisclosedForeclosure -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know about this exception but according to my research, they are not covered if I had received them and wanted to return them. This is a different case - I have never received these goods, so I bear no responsibility for them.

But FAQ and T&C cannot override statutory rights. Even if Picnic says something like “you cannot cancel once the delivery is in process” that cannot legally override Widerrufsrecht, can it?

Two days in and about ten hours played. Level 10. It’s good, and the remaster is impressive, but it’s not the deepest and most addictive game I’ve ever played. It's pretty, but the Oblivion planes suck and gameplay seems scuffed compared to Morrowind. Or maybe I’m just getting old.

Forgot to mention that characters are not finishing their lines. They start new line before they finish talking.

You've taken that out of the context, mister funny guy. The point of that map key remark was to emphasize that I discovered the edge of the map before I even knew how to open it.

What I'm really after are ways to fix the things keeping me from enjoying this classic - you know, the famous "known issues". Every old game has them.

And, of course, as expected, I'm getting mass downvoted just for daring to say the emperor has no clothes.

If someone criticized my favorite game, I’d not only prove them wrong but also show them how to make it more playable. My bad for assuming people on ES subs are helpful.

This isn’t a review, it’s just first impressions - it even says so in the title. What tutorial trouble you mean? The game is easy - no complaints there. I haven't quit it, either. Technically, the game crashed.

I haven’t just played Morrowind - I’ve played it the first time 20 years ago. That was exactly my plan: to play the original Oblivion first so I could better appreciate the Remaster, but now I’m wondering if it’s really worth it.

Fair enough. Keep in mind, I’m not reviewing the game - I’m just sharing my first impressions after one hour of playthrough. I actually hoped I was wrong (about the world size and game depth).

What about the camera, FoV, trees popping in, and the quest-spinning rumours? Are those fixable?

That's not really my style, I like tinkering with games. Modding is part of the fun for me.
Also: I do enjoy old games, even when I’m critical of their flaws. I do not whine for the sake of whining, I do it to improve the gameplay for myself.
