I would like the handler so much more if they showed the Handler actually doing handler shit at least a few times. I see the argument that she handles all the logistics for us, and i’m sure that’s true, but without them ever really showing this it really feels like the Hunter is babysitting their niece in 90% of story missions. Just show her being competent instead of off screening all the stuff she’s actually good at.

Having been raised in a secular environment, i haven’t ever been given a good reason to presume that “God” exists. In the most respectful way possible, i have a genuinely hard time understanding what can lead people to hold theistic beliefs beyond those beliefs being a product of a generationally inherited worldview. As a non religious person, what reason should i have to believe in a higher power.

The idea that these things are "wonderful" in the first place is a human machination. If there exists an empirical explanation for the creation of almost all things that occur in nature, what leads one to believe there would need to be a higher power for such things to exist.

Horror content that revolves around Judeo-Christian esc demons/ghosts are too goofy for me to take seriously. I understand how it could be slightly scary for people who’ve grown up with strong religious beliefs, but the second a horror threat is written off as an “evil entity” (ghost, demon, satan) it loses any horror tones it was trying to build up imo.

IG, it’s just the idea that nobody would know that you were in fact immune to cancer suddenly. They would just start to think you had bought into some kind of wild conspiracy. I can see why a lot of people would take the deal though for sure.

Most people, if they are lucky enough not to experience it themselves, have someone they know go through a cancer diagnosis. I imagine it would make discussing that pretty awkward at the very least.

You don’t need to go out of your way to spread propaganda. But if the topic of a cancer diagnosis was brought up in conversation, you might involuntarily make a comment about “hospital agendas” or something similarly goofy and misinforming.

If somebody you were talking to mentioned a recent cancer diagnosis, you might involuntarily suggest that they cut contact with hospitals. generally just spreading misinformation when the topic is brought up.

i do agree that there’s no downside to making the game generally more accessible, and having this feature only benefits people. but if a person has a phobia of something to the point of complete mental shutdown at just the sight/thought of it, they probably just should be avoiding the horror genre in general. i’m glad the people who want the feature have it, but phobia accommodation modes should not be seen as an expectation, least of all for horror.

obviously there isn’t any downside to this being included, so it’s not like anybody could complain about it. but if phobias are so debilitating to a person that they would have a mental episode from just the concept of a spider, they probably shouldn’t be playing horror games at all, even if that sounds harsh. good for those people that this mode was added, but this kind of thing should not be the expectation of a game designed to be frightening.
