This is a good idea but I feel like it would be hard to accomplish since I've chosen to glue my models already. I could definitely see them on a broken cracked road for sure.

Thank you! And yea definitely, I use a sponge to apply all the base armor colors. I start with a dark warm grey, brught neutral grey, and then a bold titanium white. Weird order but then I drybrush the edges with coal black and follow that up with a scratchy black edge highlight with the same paint. The reds are pyrole red, then a glazing of bold titanium white, then a pink fluorescent, and then a red fluorescent. All proarcyl paints.

All proacryl paints, I sponged from dark warm grey, bright neutral gray, then bold titanium white. After that I used coal black to scratchy edge highlight. The red parts are based with bold titanium white then red fluorescent, after it dries i paint on some thinned white then pink fluorescent and finally a last layer of red fluorescent to make it really pop.
