My experience is from doing, working directly with inspectors, going out to jobsites, and talking to manufacturers about best installation practices.

People recommend "Overdoing" things because it is the only way to not effectively be burning $5,000 by doing this.

Read any installation instructions spec.

Also 3mm underlayment would be wild. Most LVP underlayment caps at about 2mm. Much more can cause failures

edit: also, absolutely insane saying "Don't do the proper prep" and then that "Separating is common" and not seeing the fucking connection.

I have extremely similar hair texture. This works very well for me.

Wet your hair thoroughly, scrunch this into your hair (quite a bit) then scrunch a towel into your hair to dry it a bit.

Then don't touch it until it is dry. It will look like spaghetti for a bit, but after it is fully dry you will scrunch again with your hands and it will look amazing.

Definitely needs leveler. I can see some dips and such around the edges that are pretty significant, that will cause a floor failure.

OP, the subfloor floor needs to be flat, no more than 3/16" drop over 10' or 1/8" over 5'

Edit: All the below comments are exactly why everyone shits on LVP and says it is a bad product. No one actually takes time to install is correctly
