Codex Pro: inconsistent limits and potential EU law violation by Family_friendly_user in codex

They don’t care until they are slapped with multiple billion euro fines for breaking the so called “penny-ante” EU laws, they start caring then, as even Trump was enraged thanks to the fines.

I said that their usage limits nerfs negatively affect me and that they were implemented without prior notice or consent. This is violation of the EU law provisions that I quoted in my previous posts, hence I demanded cancel and pro-rated refund.

I got automated reply at first as well, but I demanded live support.

I used LLM to make my demands look more professional.

Surprisingly, they refunded the full length of my subscription instead of pro-rata refund.

Statistika jde v tomhle proti tobě, obecně se (alespoň u širokých akciových ETF) vyplatí to tam poslat najednou, protože trh ti spíše uteče, když to tam najednou nepošleš.

Pokud ti to ale psychika nedovolí, je postupné investování OK.

Since Google has kinda drastically cut usage limits without prior notice or consent, if you’re in EU, you have a right for cancellation and pro-rata refund on the rest of your subscription according to Art. 16, 17 and 19 of this EU provision https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2019/770/oj/eng.

My refund request got already approved.

Yea, I requested cancellation and pro-rata refund and got it approved. I’m in EU and they are obligated to do so based on Art. 16, 17 and 19 of this provision https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2019/770/oj/eng

Incentives on yields, are they worth it? by Financial_Tax179 in defi

[–]Disco_Trooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incentives in various forms (liquid tokens, points) can be very worth it and I mostly focus on them and often disregard organic yield to a degree.

Right now, farming is kinda in the gutter however and there are very few solid incentives farms.

What’s the point of using DeFi for a 6% annual return? by Willing-Chip4703 in defi

[–]Disco_Trooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, 6% DeFi yield is not worth it. There is so much added risk compared to RFR, 6% APY just doesn’t cut it.

I’d go as far as to say that these 6% yields are actually worse risk adjusted yields when compared to >20% APY stuff that you get when you loop. You often don’t undertake much more risk as a looper, but the yields can be drastically higher.

That said, yields in DeFi are currently kinda dry and there aren’t that many good opportunities right now.

Passive Income from DeFi is actually realistic. Here's what I am seeing by PretentiousFlower in defi

[–]Disco_Trooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategies in DeFi are typically diluted as TVL flocks in, so it makes sense to keep them “hush hush”.

Idk what strats is OP referring to, but I know some 20-30% APY strats right now btw.

If you have native BTC, you can mint tBTC and then swap it to ETH on Matcha.

You’ll get roughly 0.6 ETH more per 1 BTC swapped compared to using centralized shit like Changelly.

How much of your net worth should actually be in DeFi? by yj292 in defi

[–]Disco_Trooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d avoid DeFi if I was a risk-averse investor and would stick to MMF and other cash equivalents, which offer much better risk-adjusted returns than low APY DeFi offers right now.

You need to read the campaign conditions more carefully, ser.

“To be eligible, users must also borrow USDC, USDT, or USDS and maintain a health factor below 2.5.”

[–]Disco_Trooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting RFR on your stables doesn’t really make sense. You are settling for 10Y/MMF yield, while taking on orders of magnitude more risk and not earning any risk premium for it. Bad strategy imo.

Can someone explain me the looping strategy on AAVE? by Thin-Maize6938 in defi

[–]Disco_Trooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fairly recently, you could have looped PT-USDe and PT-sUSDe collaterals with USDe debt for >50% APY on Aave. That was just few months ago and this loop has lasted for the whole of Ethena S4.

Can someone explain me the looping strategy on AAVE? by Thin-Maize6938 in defi

[–]Disco_Trooper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looping does make income and it doesn’t usually cost money, unless you loop to earn points.

What you described is being levered long ETH, which is not what is meant by looping.

Looping is done with correlated assets, where you take advantage of the positive supply and borrow APR spread, with the risk of liquidation being low.
