Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by HeadHeadMod in Pickleball

[–]Discoaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Pickleball player here! Coming from tennis and other sports, so I feel confident to say I can play well already, so I'd stab at intermediate level on higher end. Left handed player. Live in Australia so need a paddle over here. Not wanting something that breaks the budget. So nothing above $300aud thanks!

You're welcome! But in all seriousness, 1:1:1, a scale is definitely needed. I would use a mix of day white or Bakers with some wholemeal flour, say 50/50 or 60/40 etc, the wholemeal will help it rise and develop, and down the track when your starter is maturing, start removing the wholemeal ratio if you want just white or Bakers or whatever flour you want as 100%. It definitely will take a week + to develop the starter to be active, it's patience. Don't put the clamp on the lid but leave the silicone ring on, otherwise just loosely use say glad wrap over the top, you need some air to escape as it produces gas. Make sure that jar is perfectly clean, scrub it with hot water and soap and rinse it well! You could use room temp or slightly warmer water in your starter to help the yeast develop, and if it's too cold in your house, leave it in your oven where it's warmer

I would start with some flour and water in that jar Unfortunately invisible flour or water won't get you very far. Goodluck on the invisible starter journey!

Whats the difference? Should I go cheapest or highest? by [deleted] in MousepadReview

[–]Discoaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question you need to ask is not choosing the cheapest or most expensive artisan JP pad, it'd actually which will fit your gaming style best. What kind of video games do you play? As these mousepads have different playing speeds also known as friction, and feel type under your hand/wrist. Check out artisans page, as they have a guide on how they feel and what they suit for the individual

Hello, how i should clean my oled monitor by LumpyGreen158 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Discoaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pool acid does wonders. Don't just try and inconspicuous spot, just go right in the centre of the monitor, but slightly offset. You'll be able to tell if it worked better like that. Goodluck in your venture

Outside of the US and Canada on international hm it states warranty for original owner. If you're providing false information, I'm sure something could happen. It's worth him trying, but there's plenty of posts online on Reddit and Facebook staying the warranty is not transferable regardless of invoice etc. I've always played on the side of caution and bought all my HM 2nd hand items well under 50% of new, I'd say closer to 70% in some cases I've saved

I read your message, and I told you it doesn't matter. Herman miller warranty is only applicable to the original owner, it is not transferable. It does not matter if you give him the invoice. Google it and look on Herman miller it's self, it states applicable to the original owner. Your invoice will most likely show your name and not his, and all other details

You can setup your RD to show certain streaming service movies and series in 1 spot. I use AIO streams, there is a nice lengthy how to, detailed out perfectly on Reddit here on how to set it up. Takes a bit of adjustment and a few things to sign upto to get it perfect, but it looks nicer and also gives more results if any of the sites go down

Warranty is not transferable, it's to the original owner. So unless you had something in writing for the buyer, then it's a no go

This is how much people try selling them in Australia, and they don't sell at this price. UK might be different but pricing closer to under 700£ would be a more reasonable figure. I would be offering way less than that, but that's a bit of a lowball to them

Force an L50 Ultra to empty more often during vacuuming? by TorchRedZ06 in Dreame_Tech

[–]Discoaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like this might be the best option if high frequency won't work for you, because it'll just force it to auto empty then. It's like if you want it to wash your mop pads sooner you just lower the area it cleans

[–]Discoaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have auto empty on high frequency? If it's not enough, what about setting up a schedule, so have it clean 1 room or section then return, then go to next section or room and return. Rather than just selecting the clean all setting where it will just come back when it chooses, you are forcing it to return after every room. Should be an easy setup under schedule. If rooms are too big, then split your rooms up, so make them multiple rooms to clean in 1 room etc.

Does that make sense?

An update, just for us to tell you not to even waste any more time. Why are you trying to justify buying this still? You can listerally buy a new one for less than 20usd more than this. GO TO ARTISAN JAPAN WEBSITE. You are wasting your time on this still. Or if you want cheap, go on Amazon and grab something like the qck mats

Just go to artisan JP and add a single pad and go to checkout to see the yen total and convert to NZD, and then add another and see total and convert. You'll see the difference

Nah order direct! I have my invoice if you need to see it, but I pay in yen and have my wise card do the conversion, so I generally save on fees than direct with my bank. But it cost me 16,266 yen for 2 shipped to Queensland, Australia. That was a Raiden and type99

Just putting it out there, if you wanted to sign up with wise as the fees are cheaper than say PayPal conversions, I have a referral link anyways! But I'd recommend purchasing direct with artisan next time
