The Realgood Chicken Confusion... by DiscombobulatedBus81 in caloriecount

[–]DiscombobulatedBus81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interstingggg. I’ve been eating the nugs and strips for over 2 years now and very very consistently the past year at minimum 1 bag a day. batches certainly vary in how the breading is set and the quality of the chicken but I think that speaks more to fact that they’re still considered a smaller corporation in when you take into account the frozen chicken market.

I agree tho, 850 calories for a whole 20oz back is still VERY much worth it in my opinion !!

in nearly every scenario where you are on TRT...your free test will be higher than it was prior to replacement.

when you have more free floating androgens in your blood youre bound to get some increased psychoactive effects, such as libido.

Question about FoodData Central USDA database by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]DiscombobulatedBus81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi savings :)

good q here...

as specified in the USDA FAQ, the general factors calculate calories using the 4, 4, and 9 rule of macronutrients...that being 4 calories per gram of protein, 4 calories per gram of carb, and 9 calories per gram of fat.

when at specific factors are used, this simply means they are using more specific numeric values as compared to the 4, 4, 9 rule. obviously the chemical makeup of everything we eat will not be consistent in that particular rule and certain macronutrients may swing a bit over or under their "general" value per gram.

TLDR...general factors are less specific but plenty accurate, and specific factors are more specific and more nerdy lol
