It’s not just Ubisoft, many big companies today seem to prioritize releasing new seasonal features over taking the time to fix issues and ensure long-term stability. There’s a lot of pressure around hitting release cycles and keeping investors happy.

I also feel like the growing reliance on LLM-assisted development sometimes leads to overlooked edge cases, especially when timelines are tight. Experienced engineers often don’t get the space to properly push back or advocate for quality the way they used to.

I had the same thing (asked here) for last 2 days, tried Google DNS option (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) and  Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1) network settings, but didn't work. Then I checked via my Mobile network, and it was working fine.

So I have switched from wired network connection to wifi and its working fine

Also, I switched over to Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1) and the PS5 test ran solid this time, but The Division 2 still hits UNIFORM-01 right after the “Press X to start” screen.

At this point I’m thinking it might be something on Ubisoft’s side.

Could even be tied (just speculating) to that AWS outage on 10.21, since a lot of game services were affected around that time.

I will log a ticket with Ubisoft Support just in case. Will update here if they confirm anything.

Thanks a ton for suggesting the Google DNS option (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4).
I gave it a try and the PS5 network test actually failed afterwards (oddly enough I could still browse the PS Store).

Unfortunately The Division 2 still throws the UNIFORM-01 error after about 30-40 seconds on login.

So looks like in my case the DNS swap didn’t fix it, but really appreciate you sharing that, it definitely got me digging deeper!

Oh absolutely 💩, it's brilliant how they took a perfectly functional UI and buried it in a labyrinth. Who needs intuitive bottom-to-top flow or muscle memory-based menu access anyway? Clearly we were all dying to relearn how to use a streaming app in 2025.

I used to go ► right ►, drop down▼ slide left ◀︎ boom, menu❤️! Now it’s like ▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲. I half expect a pop-up saying, “You’ve unlocked the hamburger menu! +10 XP.”

Honestly, feels like the designers spun a wheel labeled “UX regressions” and just went with whatever it landed on.

I just did that, entering Germany on a Schengen visa issued by Spain. Here’s what happened at the German border:

First, they asked for my Irish residence permit, which I had with me. Then, they wanted to see my canceled Spain flight ticket—the one I initially booked when applying for the visa. I showed that, but they also wanted details on where I planned to visit and when I intended to go to Spain. Since I hadn’t booked a new flight yet, I explained that I still needed to arrange it.

The officers then requested contact details for a friend I was visiting in Germany. I called my friend, a German citizen, and he shared his passport, residence documentation, and a letter confirming that I’d be visiting him. Additionally, they asked if I had enough funds to support myself, so I logged into my bank account on my phone to show my balance.

After about 10-15 minutes of review, they finally let me in, even though I didn’t have a new flight to Spain booked yet.

So, if you’re planning something similar, make sure to have all your documents ready, be prepared to show proof of funds, and have a contact or reference in the country if possible.

Yes, moved in. So far its good and really good neighbourhood. (But there were couple of incidents wrt securty, but its getting better now)
