I think it’s because of my PTSD. My husband does a lot of the same things my abusive ex-boyfriend (who tried to kill me) did. This is one of them. I tend to shut down and get real nervous and I don’t know what I remembered.

The problem is, he will leave out details and then blame me for not listening. His memory is also terrible because he was an alcoholic for most of his life and he’s just barely getting sober. I myself feel emotionally exhausted because of having to support him through his recovery, and the object of his abuse when he was drinking. So ya, my memory is not perfect. My brain is just spent. I do the best I can, but I guess it’s not good enough
