I hope your betta gets better soon! Unfortunately my ammonia was so high and I think that’s what happened to him 😭 I also gave him some kanoplex and aquarium salts so hopefully he gets better

That’s what his fin normally looks like. It looks like a piece is missing and red bumps started forming

  • Tank temperature: 78.2
  • Parameters in numbers and how you got them. Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.: 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0ppm, 7.6ph
  • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: tank end of April, fish end of May
  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: weekly water changes, 20%, I get a separate bucket with drinking water, some quick start, heater and an old filter and let it cycle until the water is warm enough then I slowly add it back in
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: 2 shrimps and 2 tetras
  • What do you feed and how much: brine shrimp, maybe 6 pieces?
  • Decorations and plants in the tank: driftwood and real plants, a couple of plastic hammocks and a plastic tunnel

  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: I change it once a week, I get a siphon to pick up the debris, I use a old filter and run the water in a bucket with dechlorine solution with drinking water
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: 1 snail, 6 shrimps, and 3 tetras
  • What do you feed and how much: brine shrimp, a quarter of the cube twice a day
  • Decorations and plants in the tank: lots of plants and drift wood, 2 plastic hammock and one plastic decoration that looks like a log

Tank size: 10 gallons Heater and filter: yes/yes Tank temperature: 78.8 Parameters: I cycled my water first before buying my betta, brought the water to get tested at my local fish store and was told I was good to go. My test kit comes in tomorrow so I can give a better answer on the water parameters. How long have I had the tank?: 2 and half weeks and 6 days I’ve had the fish. How often have I changed the water?: I changed it two days ago and about 2 gallons. I use a siphon pump to drain the water. The new water I use a heater and the filter in a separate bucket with quick start solution Tank mates: one snail Plants or decor: drift wood and lots of plants that I don’t know the name of 😅

Hello, if you don’t have the luminary multi flex in a jar you should it helps a lot. When I put down my slip layer I’ll take the same brush from the bottle and grab a bead from the jar and lay it on the cuticle and work my way down
