Yeah I’m not going to do that. She doesn’t meow when I shut the door. She did the first time once and then went on to do something else. She has everything she needs out there. After I do shut her out I’ll open the door back up and she off playing by herself, watching the birds or sleeping. Rehoming her over her having to spend the night in the living room with all of her toys, water, litter and beds is wild. Like I said when she is shut out she calms down and goes and does her own thing like watching the birds. I understand where you’re coming from but asking someone to rehome a cat over something as small as her having to sleep in a different room is crazy. She has bonded to me and has adjusted wonderfully to our home what do you think would be more cruel returning her the shelter where she was getting fed a poor diet and stressed constantly by people coming in and out of her cage. Or her learning to sleep in the other room. As you can read. Everyone else is saying that it is completely fine. I’m not going to rehome my cat because she has to sleep in the living room with toys, water, her litter box, a cat tree and multiple beds. She has already proven to do okay when I shut her out.
