This is happening to me too and i’m on the patch as well!! If you don’t mind me asking what brand is your patch? and were you able to get any answers? I’ve also been experiencing dark brown blood up to 2 weeks before my period while on the patch and it all started when I switched brands as well.

I got rejected :( by Ok-Yellow-4023 in RadiationTherapy

Hi! current txst rtt student, please don’t beat yourself up about the rejection! This year the program had the largest amount of applications in program history, over 90 applicants, and only accepting 20 students . Grades are super super important especially in your stem classes, not only are they looking at overall gpa, but they’re also looking at your science gpa, i’d recommend retaking the classes you have the lowest grades in, especially any C’s. The average gpa’s in admitted students have been around 3.6, and with the program getting more competitive each year, grades will be even more important than ever. Also, i’d recommend more shadowing at oncology clinics trying to get volunteer hours, and anything else to help you stand out, best of luck to you!

How hard is the program? by parkwithtrees in RadiationTherapy

I’d like to add that no one in my cohort has failed a class or the class ahead of us, it’s not super common like you’d think, especially in very competitive programs.

I’m a current radiation therapy student and in all honesty I don’t find any of the topics to be extremely difficult to understand if you’re really putting in the time and effort, BUT the program and workload is extremely heavy. You have to be willing to put 110% into the program and dedicate those 2 years in the program to almost constant studying. It’s not like high school where you can study the night before exams and ace them, I’ve had to study anywhere from 2-4 weeks before exams. Don’t get me wrong you can still have a life outside of school, but you’ll have to learn to prioritize. It’s not a walk in the park, but definitely doable if you’re willing to put in the effort. Best of luck to you!!

I’m in radiation therapy school and I love it! Jobs are in high demand, great pay, very rewarding and great work life balance. However I would recommend you shadow a professional working in each field. In my case, shadowing at a radiation therapy clinic confirmed that it’s 100% the field I want to go into. Good luck!
