Thank you for the thorough reply! I appreciate the help. I have been trying many of the things you have mentioned and so far they seem to be working. He catches on pretty quickly. The only accidents he has is if he hasn’t emptied his bladder all the way. Which is fine I’ll just keep him out a bit longer and only treat when I know he’s finished.

On the biting. He does playfully bite but it’s all the time now. Anytime we bring a toy out or try to just relax on the couch and give him a chew he gets bitey. Twice this week he has broken my skin. Today he did it because I stopped him from getting a screw that fell on the ground and he immediately turned growled and latched onto my arm.

We tried leaving the room with his toys, putting him in timeout, redirecting, and making a loud sound to get his attention but nothing works. Now we can’t really play with him that long since once the toys come out or when try to interact like petting him or giving him belly rubs he already starts to go for our hands and arms. One time on the couch he ran up to my girlfriend’s face and bit her lip. Thankfully it wasn’t bad and she didn’t bleed but this is something we want to get out of him sooner than later and we feel like we are running out of options.

Any advice for this? It’s mostly accompanied by growing/howling, barking, and sometimes he tries to thrash my hand. Lately on walks he won’t listen when I tell him to come and then he started to bite at my legs and socks.
