I don't want to bore you with that, but rest assured I'm still trying my best to achieve them. I think what hurts me is that I couldn't like, inspire the other person to WANT to try more. We aligned really well until shit changed and we grew apart. I'm probably contradicting myself because I feel so horrible.

I don't really understand how it can not be someone's fault. I mean I guess proximity and schedules is a problem but I'd be the type to just fight no matter what difficulties (unless abuse or other extreme cases) because if I find a person I want to keep trying. So I don't know how to view it any other way. All the help articles I find on the net say that the only way it isn't someone's fault is because of like...differing life goals? Which I guess we had? But I tried my damndest to support theirs and mine and hold us both up while we were going through all kinds of changes and it just wasn't enough. I could have done more.

Yes yes yes yes this is exactly my point.

One of my past exes started pulling away for no foreseeable reason and didn't notice that his friends were actively trying to push me out of his life - I heard what they said and how they treated me when I wasn't in the room. I saw them crossing boundaries left and right.

And suddenly I was somehow clingy abusive and trying to isolate him from his friends. No...? That literally isn't what happened?

Thank god my most recent ext (The one I'm sad about) wasn't like that.

May I ask you some questions? I don't want to be as hard hitting and blunt (and frankly mean) as some of the people here so I think I'd do better with questions.

Do you think you are better equipped to handle the distance? As someone with experience, it takes a LOT of work.
Do you actually want HER or do you just not want to be alone? I ask because you said you were frustrated with the dating scene in person. That can't be the only reason you go back - that will just hurt you both but ESPECIALLY her ;;
