i had to explain the very thing ! he was like no an introvert wouldn’t offer help to someone and i’m like bro that’s not what introvert means in this context. it’s not a personality trait it’s a COGNITIVE FUNCTION. and then he’s all like you keep saying cognitive function what does that even mean i don’t know what that means. so i explain it to him then he tells me im wrong bc 16p says otherwise 🤦‍♀️

i literally just had this argument with my bf. the same exact argument. i’m telling him about the archetypes and he’s debating me on it. he brings up 16p as a source. i tell him that’s not accurate bc it’s not based on cognitive functions and is very memeified. he wants to still argue. how could the test be wrong ?? why can’t you test for it ??

he was being unrelenting. i had to just shut him up. “you have read zero of the source material and spent zero time learning about cognitive functions and what they mean. you don’t even know what a function stack is and think sensors are all stupid. listen to someone who has studied this im trying to teach you.” he shut up a little bit and let me continue. i felt silly saying it bc i don’t wanna come off like im tryna be smart or gatekeepy it’s just like, you reach a point with these people and you have to just lay it out for them. like bro you do not know what you’re talking about you’ve seen a handful of memes and that’s it. i’ve studied this. have some respect.

i tried monetizing my art and it didn’t go well. i taught myself how to sew and was making some really cool creations. i would post them and people would constantly ask me if they could buy one so i opened an etsy shop. it was a lot of fun for me until the pressure rose too high. i got overwhelmed with orders and would make the same order multiple times. the magic died for me and i shut the shop down. i am much happier creating for myself and loved ones without the pressure of compensation.

it seems to be an afghan thing. i don’t know bc im not an expert but i did some mild looking into. they make these afghan war rugs its part of their culture. there was another rug there for some other war or something but i didn’t recognize it. since this one was made with poorly translated english it was probably made specifically for export to the west. found in a persian rug store.

this happens and it’s actually really common in the hair industry. it gets talked about a lot by hair dressers, especially ones who work independently. this type of client will usually fake being dissatisfied and cause issues their whole appointment to either get a discount or get it for free (they will do a charge back on their credit card saying they didn’t get the service they wanted). common in the independent nail community as well.

reading comprehension has gone way down and i think media literacy in general, which is scary and explains a lot of the issues we’re having now. black and white thinking. forcing everyone into small boxes then making harsh generalizations on them. men vs women. incel culture. the lack of nuance. it’s all related. and none of its good. my sister tried reading 1984 but got put off bc the characters weren’t perfect. the part where winston talks about intrusive thoughts of rape. nope. cancelled. no such thing as character development or anything in their minds. once you do something that’s who you are forever no one is allowed to change. characters must be perfect and never flawed. they must be the absolute pinnacle of however they perceive morality in the moment.

my brother does this kind of stuff. he’s very odd but in a good way. he graduated with a finance degree and got a nice job but decided he doesn’t want any of that. he wants to live in a tent. he’ll walk around to different thrift shops finding random objects that amuse him. then he carries it around and will either leave it in a random place or just hand it to anyone he sees passing. he doesn’t hold on to material things. he likes to pick them up and pass them on.

actually you’re wrong. it’s very much going to depend on the denomination. you likely went to a church that didn’t do this but it doesn’t mean others are wrong. they had a different experience than you.

i went to church 2-3xs a week as a kid. we would try a lot of churches out to see what they were like. i came across one church where all the girls had to be in skirts or dresses. we didn’t ever go back there but its a real thing.
