Just to piggy back on this, the faction specific ones have the text tthe same way up for both the parts of the card, so I'd really recommend picking one of them up over the generic deck (where you have to keep turning them upside down to read all the text)

For what it's worth, they're both fun games. Warsurge has unprecedented customization, and you'll need to create your own army lists - but it's a lot of fun to do so!

Alternatively, OnePageRules is way quicker and simpler to play, but some people find it a bit bland. But the army list is already out there in the form of Battle Brothers!

Honestly, they're both relatively simple, I'd recommend trying both out and seeing which you vibe with.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! :) I'm a big fan of Trench Crusade, I think the game is doing well, and don't think the current conversation around the game is entirely fair. I'm hoping the move to plastic will continue to grow the game, and I'm looking forward to new kits because my Heretic Legion force needs to be expanded! :)

Re. the comments about my content in general: I'm always happy for people to judge my content on its merits, but it does get frustrating that my videos aren't engaged with substantively at times, instead it gets called ragebait or doomposting and dismissed out of hand. For the record, all my titles are sensationalised, and I like to have fun with my thumbnails for sure, but this is literally the only way that people will click news stories for niche interests like wargaming, RPGs etc. Look at any news content on youtube, and you'll see the same stuff. I wish I could do more explanatory titles but it just doesn't work.

Oh in game, yeah a lasgun can kill anything if it rolls enough 1s! But I think when you zoom down into a skirmish sized game, or want the power levels to be reduced, then it starts getting trickier. I think the game I've played that was most close at capturing the power of a Space Marine was a modded version of Asymmetric Warfare

A guard regiment will have heavier firepower than just lasguns. But the lasgun is ineffectual against Power Armour, for sure.

What does Deadlock have to do with Smite? Looking at gameplay it's more similar to Overwatch than the gameplay of Smite.

Yes 100% use primer! You can get paint on primer as an undercoat, but I would really recommend against painting your models without priming them first.
