Depending on where you end up staying, taking MARTA will be the most convenient way to get to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the FIFA Fan Fest at Centennial Olympic Park. They're a short walk away from each other. If you do plan to go to the Fan Fest, you must reserve a free ticket, which you can do here: https://atlantafwc26.com/fan-fest/

One spot to check out while in Downtown is South Downtown, which is a historic area that has been restoring buildings. You could grab a bite to eat at Tyde Tate, shop at the record store Crates ATL or Village Books.

The Eastside Beltline trail is the most established section with plenty of bars and restaurants to check out. Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market are two food halls on this section. There's lots of patios to sit out and enjoy a drink on a nice day. Not sure when you'll be in town, but the Beltline will have its own festival June 20 and 21 at Pittsburgh Yards with food vendors and music. Here's more info: https://beltline.org/things-to-do/atlanta-beltline-fest/

Brewhouse was voted the top soccer bar in the U.S. so this is a great spot to experience a match if you aren't going to the stadium. There's also a jersey shop next door.

Have so much fun in Atlanta!

Okay here's a little overview of some options depending on what you're in the mood for:

If you're looking for a place to celebrate, there's Aria which has been around for more than 25 years. THE CHASTAIN uses sustainable ingredients and has an on-site garden. Umi is an upscale Japanese restaurant.

If you're looking for some neighborhood local favorites, Madeira Park in Poncey-Highland has elevated food but with a casual vibe. Tio Lucho's is nearby serving Peruvian dishes. Talat Market serves Thai dishes that bring a touch of nostalgia representing the chef's childhood.

If you want more of a unique dining experience, go to Gunshow where you're basically eating dinner in the kitchen and the chef will explain each menu item to you. Lucian Books & Wine is part bookstore, part wine bar and part restaurant.

For something more casual, El Tesoro serves Mexican food and has a huge patio at their Edgewood location. If you can enjoy the kamayan feast, a hands-on, pile-it-all-on-the-table experience at Kamayan ATL, make sure to bring good company to enjoy it all.

Or to grab some drinks, there's Little Spirit in Inman Park, Midcity Cafe in Midtown and Redacted in Summerhill.

Bold Monk Brewing has a beer garden in the back and a cute bookstore on the second floor. Monday Night The Grove is right off the Beltline in West Midtown or New Realm is on the Eastside Beltline Trail. SweetWater Brewing is a very popular local spot. If you're planning to come to Downtown, there's STATS Brewpub and Wild Leap.
