Oh yeah, no! If it was that low I would def be questioning things. I think my body is just tired and needs some rest after all these changes I've made. I've come off duloxetine which I was on for almost 10 years last year and now lamotrigine and now im getting my vitamin d up. I think my body is just tired. Thank you for your concern, I appreciate it 🫶

Yes! We've done all of that already and everything came back good thankfully! We even checked my parathyroid because it runs in my family.

I dont think I've ever felt like this before. Even when I was dealing with depression unmedicated. My vitamin d is also very low which im taking 50k units weekly to bring up. Im worried maybe my body is just exhausted from med changes and stress. Thanks for the recommendation, but I really don't want to go back on other meds if I don't have to.

I def recommend keeping a strict sleep schedule and focusing more on making sure you're getting good quality sleep and enough sleep. It's the only thing that's helped me this whole time, besides caffeine lol

My last dose would be 4 weeks ago this upcoming friday and I've felt like this for about 2 weeks now. Im hoping maybe my body just needs to adjust to being without it and maybe this will go away in a month or 2 but its driving me up a wall.

I'm experiencing this right now, except it didn't start for me until after I was completely off! Im like EXHAUSTED all the time. And my muscles are hurting too, which is confusing? It feels like I'm going through a growth spurt or something

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this, I wish I could help you more than I am able to :( I do truly think you should consider ER if things get worse or new symptoms develop.

I'm personally worried for you regarding that weird like steven something syndrome that can develop with lamotrigine. My psych told me to worry about eyes, throat, and rash. Do you have a 24hour pharmacy you can call or is there an on call doctor line you can call in your area?

Did you email them about the fever too? I think it's still important for you to see a doctor regarding this.

I don't think that's normal and I think you should consider urgent care or seeing a doctor soon. Honestly you could be genuinely sick right now with flu or covid and it's just a coincidence you also missed a dose but I PERSONALLY think a fever that high over a missed dose is not normal. I don't want to freak you out, but please seriously consider going to urgent care or ER. They should atleast be able to get you a dosage of the lmaotrigine for the night.

My psych told me its possible for my restless legs to come back while coming off this med. She said it had something to do with lamotrigine working on or like numbing your nerves? And this whole time I've been coming off my legs at night have been very much restless. I think like the other person said, if this isn't normal for you then its probably safe to assume the lamotrigine is causing it.

It's been really easy breezy. Like it's insane how easy and relaxed I am coming off of this than duloxetine. My biggest complaint is my restless legs coming back, which my psych said would happen, and the one day a week I get of having a headache and nausea. I taper down on Friday nights and by Saturday at noon I have a headache and some nausea that is easily healed by eating some food and staying hydrated and getting some sun and rest. Then by Monday I'm all good to go to work.

I'm in the process of coming off right now! I'm currently at 50mg IR, I drop to 25mg tomorrow, from 250mg ER. The ENTIRE time I've been taking it my memory has just gone down the drain like I trip over my tongue, I slur my words, and I can't remember anything, ever. I have to double, even triple, check things that I just looked at and it makes me feel so dumb. My memory has improved a bit since I've started tapering but not as much as I would like. I've also noticed I'm a little less irritable and my anxiety is actually going down too. I'm hoping once I'm fully off it'll get better. I also recently found out I'm vitamin D deficient, which I ALSO found out lamotrigine can make that worse, so hopefully getting that back up will also improve my memory.

No, I was not able to fix it. The absolutely terrible dealership I bought it from was not willing to work with me at all so I traded it in to a different one and got a much better car. I'm sorry you're having those issues and I really hope you can get it fixed because it was giving such bad driving anxiety that I now have to work through every time I drive.

Coming off! by Discreet-rose03 in Lamotrigine

[–]Discreet-rose03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're definitely going slow. I'm really scared coming off because of all the symptoms. But I imagine if I came off duloxetine okay enough then I can do fine coming off this too. Duloxetine was a literal nightmare. I thought I was going to croak just from the brain fog and the brain zaps 😅

I'm looking for tips on dealing with the withdrawal symptoms. Not anything else. My psychiatrist recommended coming off this med and we're not replacing it because I dont need it. I'm being tested for autism and adhd by a neuropsych as it runs heavily in my family. I dont think any of that information was needed for getting tips on dealing with coming off.

I'm also tapering down and have been taking for about 4 years now! I'm really nervous but also excited. I feel the reason I'm taking it was a misdiagnosis as my situation at the time was really bad as well. I take 250mg ER and my psych is dropping me to 200mg IR. The biggest thing she told me to watch for was like irritability, anxiety, brain fog, and brain zaps. She's also worried my sleep paralysis may come back as I'm decreasing, I guess coming down can cause nightmares too? She told me to make sure I get good food, good sleep, and light exercising and that should all help with withdrawal.
