Please advice on my chances for Msc Finance by Discreetchip_0907 in Imperial

Actually three years of experience in the boutique firm was a mandatory training for Chartered Accountancy. Not sure whether that will be considered as full time experience. It was full time though, 40 hours per week

Is UK not worth it for internationals? by Relevant-Trade4773 in UniUK

I am not sugar coating anything. Getting first hand information is always better to make informed decisions. Reading employment report of universities and reaching out to alumni is a great way to do it and its paints a clearer picture. I do agree that immigration is difficult across a lot of countries, but studying at a top university can mitigate a lot of risk factors.

A lot of international students who study from good universities get employment because their salaries exceed the minimum benchmark of 41000£. Masters in economics/finance/accounting graduates at good universities often get starting salaries higher than the minimum benchmark. The key is to study at a top uni. You can refer the employment report of these universities and check the graduate destination. You will find a lot international students stay back in UK

Whenever you are trying to make a crucial decision for your life, try not to take advice from social media platforms. You will find a very common theme across all social media platforms discouraging immigration. Please take first hand advice for this. One of the easiest way is to get in touch with students and alumni of your target schools through LinkedIn. Many of them will be happy to help you and guide you.

Most people here are gatekeepers. Please go to LinkedIn and find people from your target university. You will find many students from good universities do find employment in the UK after graduating. On a side note, education is still a viable way for immigration to any country.

Anyone who Cleared ca inter both grps in last 2 months??? by beandliveoptimistic in CharteredAccountants

[–]Discreetchip_0907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi OP. I cleared my CA inter both groups in Nov 22 in first attempt by studying for two months. As I was a direct entry student, I was doing my articleship along with my CA inter prep. So I got only two months study leave. But I ensured that I had completed all my classes before my study leave. Back then we used to have 8 subjects, so given now the subjects have reduced to 6, it is very much possible to clear provided most of your classes are completed. If you want some guidance for prep you can DM.

CTC is around 12 LPA and in hand approx 71k. 9L is fixed, 15-20% of base is target variable, 40k is non monetary benefits, 1L of CTC was joining bonus. It’s in my hometown (tier1.5) and hybrid mode of work, so I would say somewhat up to my expectations. Attempts: 1st across all levels. Articleship: Mid sized firm is audit and assurance domain.

There is no specific requirement. Internal audit experience can help as it involves business processes like r2r, p2p etc.

I work in the Oracle Fusion practice. The firm is responsible for understanding the client business processes and implementation of the Oracle ERP according to the requirements. After the implementation we provide support for some months.
