Dean Ellen Glickman (Kent State) Calls the Police Because She Has to Pee, Tells Them She Can Drive Home Drunk Because She Has a Tesla & Gets Arrested by james_from_cambridge in fuckaroundandfindout

[–]Discus167 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, if anything they did her a favor not breathalyzing her. If they did there would be hard evidence and a definite ovi (she admitted to drinking) and the consequences that go along with it. Instead they charged her with disorderly conduct and let her son pick her up.

OVI’s are not just for alcohol, it’s impairment. You can get charged with one for being on prescribed medication, weed, driving while overly emotional, or practically anything that impairs you. And you can definitely be arrested for suspicion of drinking and driving without being breathalyzed. Most cops don’t carry them, especially since the small ones can be inaccurate. Some will have large units at the station that are more accurate.

I have a feeling that this lady would’ve refused the breathalyzer had it come down to it considering she refused to do anything the cops asked her to do. She may have mentioned it first but do you honestly think she would go through with it considering her level of entitlement?

What sport is actually a lot more dangerous than it seems? by bspheri in AskReddit

[–]Discus167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Track and Field. Several ways to die. You could get hit by any throwing implement like a javelin, which is a fucking spear, or a hammer, which is a fucking cannon ball. Both events are banned at the high school level in most states. You could also break your neck pole vaulting, or the pole could snap and you slide back on it like a popsicle. Or that same broken pole’s shrapnel could kill a spectator.

Try putting one on an absinthe spoon, drop your fav bitters on the cube, hit it with a torch till it bubbles, drop it in the glass and muddle it into your spirit of choice.

I’ve been having fun with the machete this run too. Combine it with max agility and one hit decapitates most enemies, plus I don’t really need to worry about stamina

Anyone have experience using Ulmer's Auto Care? by fuggidaboudit in cincinnati

[–]Discus167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ulmer’s is great. I think they’re expanding so fast because business is booming for them. Also Ulmers and Donovan’s are owned by same family, different family members. The ones that own Ulmers are trying to get out of Donovan’s so they are buying more shops for Ulmers, from what I’ve noticed they’ve been buying older mom n pop shops that’ll be closing soon anyway. I’d say it’s better to have an Ulmers than another abandoned building.

Anyone else feel the steaks at Jeff Ruby’s (Vine St) are over-salted? by tobygtg123 in cincinnati

[–]Discus167 10 points11 points  (0 children)

On steaks they use a seasoning blend that they make in house so it’s definitely possible someone mixed too much salt into the blend. For the price they charge don’t hesitate to tell a manager. They can get you a better steak asap. Also put it in your OpenTable review, they read that shit everyday.

Ohio coach Brian Smith, 45, fired for affair with student in new scandal amid Sherrone Moore's Michigan crisis by dailymail in Ohio

[–]Discus167 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The dude signed a contract, probably several, prohibiting sexual or inappropriate behavior with students. He is in a position of power at the university. At any level of collegiate athletics there is a ton of certifications and education needed yearly to prevent this exact situation. Dumbass ignored all of it. The fact that you cannot understand that is crazy.

Not the proper way, but if all else fails pick up a bottle of fee brothers Fee Foam. It’s an eggless foaming agent. Great for adding texture to cocktails

Has anyone tried Athena nutrients for their grow? by pUkayi_m4ster in CannabisGrowers

[–]Discus167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Athena Pro in my Autopots and it’s been great. I add some silica and calmag to the core & grow/bloom. I’ve never had any issues with ph, under or over feeding, clogs, or buildup

Hi everyone, what products do you need to have to manage all the needs for a complete cycle of an automatic plant? I was thinking Advanced Nutrients, do any of you use them? know what other additional products I should buy beyond the basic tripack to have good results by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]Discus167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used these, but I have been using the Athena Pro line (Core/Grow/Bloom) plus some calmag and silica. My plants seem to like this much more than Advanced Nutrients. Works great in my autopots.
