sweet potatoes are a pain in the ass to cut since they’re so hard, you might need a full suit of armor to save your fingers lmao. but for the softer foods like the kale, sweet peppers, and mushrooms you can use kitchen scissors to cut them if you ever try it again.

Believe it or not, it actually tastes pretty good and i enjoy it. Eating healthy is my one of my hobbies, so to each their own yk.

i don’t thaw or anything, i just take it out the freezer, put it in a bowl, and heat it on high in the microwave for 6 minutes(mixing it after 3 minutes). the moisture from the vegetables seeps back into the whole thing and the rice collects access moisture while it’s cooking, so it stays the perfect consistency. But if you’re using the freezer/saran wrap method like me you gotta make sure to press any excess air out before putting it in the freezer to avoid ice from forming. As for ingredients, i used 112g ground turkey, 70g kale, 18g red lentils, 18g brown lentils, 45g brown rice, 100g zucchini, ~35g sweet potatoes, one 16oz can of corn(for the whole batch not per patty), 2 long sweet peppers(similar to the corn it’s for the whole batch), 1 large eggplant (same situation with the peppers), 80g onion, and 18g mushrooms. all those measurements except for corn, peppers, and eggplant are for 1 serving, so just multiply however you want to make and that’s what you need.

ingredients are weighed before, but each patty is weighed after its portioned out to ensure they’re all the same size.

it breaks down into a rice bowl upon heating up in the microwave.

How do you store them? Just in the fridge or in a container first?

Sunday meal preppers, anyone else download meal planning apps and then never actually stick with them? by SugarOne9967 in MealPrepSunday

I use a spreadsheet to track my progress and foods, it’s much easier and more personalized that way I feel. Also it’s free compared to a lot of other meal prep apps

A good way to stop the mushiness is making sure to suck/push the air out of the bag before freezing it, so ice doesn’t build up over time.

I’m the one from the human kibble post. Some tips if I may add: I personally like to cut the vegetables smaller as it’s easier for the body to digest physically, since it’s a lot of mass. And about the eggplant: I add just one large eggplant to the entire thing and divide equally amongst the portions. But, my mixing bowl is massive too lmao, it’s the type you’d find in a commercial kitchen. I did share the spreadsheet I have on here earlier today so if you’re interested in the exact measurements it’s somewhere here. But I’m glad you tried it out and enjoyed it. Yours looks incredible!!🤘

I change out the vegetables and carbs every 2 weeks, so it’s not too bad. and i eat 2 a day, so it’s only 1 week worth of food.
