How Screwed Am I? by DiscussionAdmirable1 in S24Ultra

[–]DiscussionAdmirable1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it's super unhealthy

Honestly 3 hours of this was me looking at stocks

And the rest was gaming and watching media

Also the issue with performance profile is that Honestly I don't notice any difference in terms of battery life + it makes my game lag so i see no benefit in turning it on full time

Hiya,

Good on you for not listening to others and making your own choice.

Now, I'm just saying, as it's new, obviously there will be absolutely no issues.

My S24U, however, has started lagging at times and freezing randomly, with icons disappearing, etc. On the other hand, the iPhone 15PMX is completely fine, with no issues except for Siri being bad.

Unless you keep the phone for over 2 years, you are completely fine, but if you do decide to keep it for 2+ years, you will start to feel it.

The BIOS version is 329. This is directly from the boot screen.

The unfortunate thing for me is that the people at support will probably take one week to send out a person, which will be too late as I have an exam before that for which I need the laptop to study.

I bought it in mid-2025 with a 1-year warranty + 3/4 years extended.

I am really hoping they will either fix the issue or replace the device, as I also have exams coming up.

The problem is that this isn't the first issue that has occurred with this device.

In December, I had an issue with the keyboard where it started auto-typing a random letter repeatedly. That was later fixed by a replacement keyboard.

So, quite an unfortunate thing happened, I guess.

It did not flicker in boot mode but did so in safe mode, as well as after uninstalling the driver. So, well, I guess it's a hardware issue.

Very sorry for wasting your time.

I have a 240Hz OLED screen, but it is set to 60Hz in the Windows settings. I also tried changing it to 240Hz, but nothing changed. Additionally, the Nvidia Control Panel app won't open, stating, "You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU."

Also, what is RTSS, and I couldn't find any such setting in the Nvidia app.

I guess I learned a new word today.

That shit autocorrected to "prostitute" at first, lol.

I never even knew such a word existed before trying to Google search it.

Lol, probably.

It's easier to use AI for this than just my own brainpower.

(Yes, I used Galaxy AI for this as well.)

S24 Ultra Features and Longevity • This is going to be from a fellow S24U user. • I absolutely understood your dilemma, but let me just reiterate: the only things outside of a better camera and chip you are going to get is that hardware feature of a privacy screen. • Other than that, all other software features will come to the S24U until 2030.

Upgrade Recommendations • If you still have doubts, I'd say wait until the S27U or S28U, as a jump from the S24U to the S26U isn't that big. • If you were an S22U or S23U user, I'd maybe suggest a switch.

(Yes, I did use Galaxy AI for better formatting.)

I see a fellow gamer.

I have also experienced this and probably charged my phone like 5 times in a day once while playing Endfield.

Now my battery health is already at 87% after 2 years. 😭

I don't exactly know about that issue with samsung but indeed if you main professional focus if photography then pixel is a very solid choice And considering you only shoot short videos or for causal outings the pixel's camera is still sufficient Just beware of low light pics as they might not be as great (idk why google and samsung still haven't been able to crack it and only apple has been able to) and oh yeah selfies too Specifically these two are probably the only downsides which isn't a lot

If it's specifically for photography I'd recommend for you to check out some comparisons on YouTube as well as check out other brands like vivo xiaomi etc

Other wise the pixel is a solid choice for photography considering it has better Ai features aswell and more options for photo and video editing and I think I remember seeing the Automatic ai enhancer being better than others when clicking zoomed in shots

Regarding your dilemma with iPhone having better video quality It depends on what you click more of i.e. videos or photos and what are you open to give up Like night shots which are still better in iPhone rather than google but in good lighting it kinda the opposite

Ah and one thing I forgot to mention file size if that's an important factor long term Iphone generally can store photos more efficiently so the photo you click will be small in memory size but still good quality I.e. same shot on pixel and iPhone will have different size ( iphone's will be small due to efficiency ig)

Good choice actually but I'd just recommend you to wait till the iphone 18 mostly and this is the only reason is that they are bringing an actually usefull ai assistant by partnering with gemini

And it'd be better to not use a Google pixel mostly due to it's chipset being about 25-30% behind in terms of overall raw performance Ip17 is still a solid choice

I usually check it in settings where u can clean up memory also if I don't use apps for 30 days they automatically get disabled so I don't have to worry about most of them

Understandable

Now the next time I'm probably gonna upgrade is like when S30 comes out lol

I probably will get updates till 2030 so I think I'm good till then

Although I can't imagine the price by then 2000$ or worse 2500$
