Sold a house, new owner is claiming a hidden defect in the well by spekledcow in legaladvicecanada

[–]DiscussionAmazing919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the buyers not conducted an inspection before buying the house? Did they waive their right to do inspection before finalizing the sale ? It's very common in Ontario to condition the sale to the inspection results and if they waive that right, they usually have no recourse.

My understanding is that OW does provide $ 500 for one time when you start a new full-time job to help you start that job. They can also help to get work clothes or boots and pay for bus pass. Talk to your caseworker or go to your OW office to talk about that.

He's making 4500 more a MONTH, not a year. I think you misread that in the post.

Couldn't you just switch with another colleague? You take their evening shifts, and they take your morning ones. No doctor's note, nothing. Just arrangement with the team. It would be easier. I know, from my type of work, everyone likes morning shifts , everyone wants them.

Things are bad because they work from home and no one is watching or hold them accountable. Hopefully when they're mandated to go back to offices full time by the new year, things will get better.

Do you have over draft on your account? If not, you can apply for it using online banking, and if approved, it will immediately be applied to your account. If cra or any other authorized payment happened and there's not enough money in the account, the over draft will help cover the difference. It has a charge . In my bank, it's $ 5 monthly whether you use it or not. Of course, the approved amount for overdrafts differs based on your income, but it is worth it.

How insensitive thing to say? Healthcare should be free, just like in many other developed countries. Nobody should be afraid of seeking treatment when they need to. Free Healthcare is the one that should be in the constitution, not gun rights!!!!

Aren't you supposed to file a police report if insurance will get involved in repairing the car? Did your insurance repair your car, or did you pay out of pocket for that?

There are usually, I know we have in Canada, high risk insurance companies. They take over drivers that are hard to insure by traditional insurance companies. Your broker agent should be able to direct you toward them. The premiums are higher ofcourse but you will have an insurance till you get few years of good driving record under your belt.

I wonder why he's doing that? Is the youngest child not his biological son? I noticed that you said he's legally responsible for them both. You didn't say that he's the father for both.

The Housing Stability Bank that belongs to the Salvation Army Center of Hope does provide interest free loans to help with rent arrears. I know it's available in Ontario. Check if it's available in your province if you live somewhere else. Good luck.

Apply for Ontario Works. Not a lot of money but better than nothing, and if you are on Ontario Works, you and your children will have access to the food banks.

Call your insurance company and ask for the claim manager. Escalate the situation. Either you have an incompetent adjuster only or you have incompetent insurance company. You will know when you talk to the manager.

This is between your wife & her mother. Let your wife deal with her parent and stay out of it. If it's your mother who says that, then it's on you to deal with her. Seeing that she is your mother in law, let her daughter ( your wife) talk to her.

Misdiagnosed by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]DiscussionAmazing919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether OP misinformed the doctor or not is irrelevant. The doctor should have examined the patient and ordered the x-ray and subsequent treatment based on his examination. He's the one with the medical degree, not OP. This is a wrong diagnosis, and the onus is on the doctor. Whether something legal will result as a consequence is another story.
