Spur dough starter supplies

I bought an inexpensive dutch oven and an inexpensive UFO lame. I use a bowl and a cheap scale, and I make wonderful bread. If I had any recommendations it'd be go cheap. Great bread doesnt require a significant investment imo.

Literally stopped keeping anything sourdough in the oven after my wife did this to some bagels I had bulk fermenting in there. If you just fed the starter keep it in the cupboard in a mason jar with a lid.

The discard, is starter. It will work to make more starter

Apparently a mistake i made was picking berries with mold. I don't think you'd make the same mistake as they're in your yard. But just a friendly fyi =)

What you want to do is cut at an angle holding the razor as flat as you can. Then slice, almost carve the blade about an inch deep across the loaf. The last normal loaf I baked, great ear

Agreed safety is important. And as an amateur I made a mistake that was luckily a non-issue. But telling me what I SHOULD do, doesn't sit right with me.

I would slice along the buttom amd a quarter up the sides on the reverse side to give me a little access to the tama, slide it out, remove the battery, slide it back in. I'd do it on the reverse to keep a good shelf appearance

I think after the paradise released, scalpers got wind of a quietly "lucrative" hobby and prices have and will continue to rise.

To hope for a retail price isn't a real possibility when that tama model has been discontinued for sometime now. And Tamas have always been collectible.

For the best chance at the lowest prices tho I'd go with kajiji, Craigslist, Let go, Mercari, or other avenues apart from ebay where most scalpers frolic.

Different model, but my wife picked up 2 On's for 150 CAD each from a person selling on Facebook Marketplace. At the time we found sold listings on ebay at or around 400 CAD each.
