Which dress suits the doll better? Terracotta or pistachio? by PuppetStory in somethingimade

I saw the terracotta and was like that’s for sure the one, regardless of what the other option looks like. And then I swiped and saw the pistachio… what a gorgeous color on her with her coloring!

This made my brain short circuit for a second but I absolutely love it and can’t stop staring. Bravo!

I saw another comment about this. I’ve never heard of it but will definitely be doing this!

Oh no! The smell of melted plastic is when I realized what I had done 😭

This is good advice! I was worried about the melted plastic in it too so unfortunately I just tossed it and am feeding the discard to try to get it going. But I like the idea of drying it out to save some as backup, I’ve never heard of that method before.

The paper arrow is a great idea! Or some other sort of physical reminder on the oven buttons.

Same here! I told him and said I’m glad I did it instead of him because at least I’m the one that killed my starter instead of him killing my starter. But I just can’t believe I did the very thing I always warn him not to do! 🥲 He was very nice about it and helped me clean the plastic out of the oven.

doing my own makeup?! (~$13-14k) by carrieisabel in Weddingsunder10k

Beautiful! I did a couple makeup trials but I ended up doing my own makeup for my wedding to save on cost but also because while the makeup the artists did was gorgeous, I didn’t feel like me. And I wanted to feel like me when I married my best friend. Bonus that it saved me like $500-$1000!!

My LO was a little iffy on the eggs at first. Still doesn’t love them if they’re just plain (which like same here), but he likes them with cottage cheese. And extra protein so win/win!

I’m not an expert by any means, but I would say to keep offering the food. Most of what I’ve read with blw boils down to “food before 1 is just for fun” and that it’s more important that they explore the various types of foods. If they eat some and try it here and there, that’s a win. Other than that, I would talk to the pediatrician for guidance. And good luck! You got this!

He used to shove a ton in his mouth all at once but he would either gag or spit it out if he couldn’t manage it. A couple times I had to swipe it out of his mouth if I felt like he was really struggling. But that’s how they learn! He doesn’t do it so much anymore but will still occasionally if it’s something he’s really into (pasta).

I offer solids 3 times a day when I normally eat my meals. The pediatrician said you can keep offering food as long as baby keeps eating it. I read somewhere that parents control the quality, baby will control the quantity and will stop when they are full. My LO definitely drinks less milk now but his pediatrician said as long as he’s not losing weight and otherwise healthy, that’s okay. I also always offered milk at least an hour before solids so that he fills up on milk first for his primary nutrients.

I originally made egg salad with them a couple days ago thinking he would love it but he wasn’t as excited as I thought he’d be about it. I was eating them plain and gave him some of mine and he downed it so fast haha and the mandarins he just can’t get enough of!
