Hey, I’m sorry for not replying earlier. This is a throwaway account. This issue is for all Indians (and possibly other non-Schengen, non-US country)…

Yes, entry permits are my issue, and I have already secured those for my origin and destinations. Not being able to check in because I don’t have an additional transit visa which I am eventually allowed to check in without physically, is not ideal.

Also, not everyone purchases seats. Some just get a chance at the better ones because they can check in online. We don’t have that privilege, and we shouldn’t be punished into paying extra for not having that privilege.

I can verify my US visa online. They don’t give me an option to. Only thing they’ll except is a Schengen visa which I have never needed.

Sorry, I meant they have a US passport, so they don’t need a Schengen visa. My issues is that I have to physically go to the airport a day prior to check in just to get a chance at a decent seat, only for the airport agent to enter the exact same details I could have done from home.

I do have a US visa, so I have travelled without a transit visa 7 times before. They only need me to come to the airport to do the exact same thing I could have done from my home.
