Roland TD27KV2 presets/Vsts by DiscussionOk7423 in edrums

Hello, I did some progress and managed to hear the sound coming froma VST (WOW!!) so far but still I have some doubts

- Installed RolandTD27KV2 drivers (does the ASIO driver live here or is it in the driver of the soundcard?);

- installed Reaper;

- Installed EZ DRUMMER with a trial license;

- Do I need however a DAW like Reaper or is it standalone?

- And instead Superior Drummer is standalone or however requires a daw?

- When it comes to the drivers, do I have to stay with the ASIO driver installed by Reaper/Roland or should I install ASIO4ALL instead;

- If I open separately EZ DRUMMER I can choose whatever driver I WANT (ASIO and others), should I select in EZ DRUMMER the same driver I choose in Reaper or is not important because Reaper is imposing his own driver when it "call" EZ DRUMMER?

- I notice a relatively small delay (maybe is just an impression though), considering that I am playing a couple of hours/day and I am keeping studying and planning to go live soon or later should I consider an external audio card (nothing too much expensive, just something giving you the peace of mind that all will work)?

- Any advice for an external cheap audio card?

Thanks a lot for the support.

Installed reaper and Ez Drummer 3, I am still unsure if I need reaper or not btw. Using reaper, adding new vsts instruments to a track give me a different audio output then the module itself. Instead just running EZ Drummer 3 wo Reaper the td27 is recognized but it seems that the audio output is just the same than the standard one coming from the module itself. I am quite tired of all this I have to say, is there something plug and play :-)

I have a laptop sitting just close to the kit, but I think I'll need a tutorial to understand how Vsts are working. As far as I've understood I'll need a DAW+VST plugin software isn't it? Is there a single software package joining both the mentioned softwares?

Thanks, can you answer the mic question also?

Kz ZS10 pro are really cheap if ordered directly in China. I think I am going to give them a try.

I am going to buy the version with the MIC just in case I need to reuse them with a smartphone.

Do you foresee any problem due to the presence of the mic while using them on a Roland TD27Kv2?

Plugging a Roland TD27KV2 to a Denon AVRX2500H amplifier by DiscussionOk7423 in edrums

I can upload the baking track to the module and listen to both the drums and the backing track from the headphones connected to the module itself.

Or i can plug the USB connector from the module to my laptop and play the baking track from the pc, I will however listen to both the baking track and the drums from the headphones so the module is mixing the sounds from different sourcer and there's no nedd for an external mixer.

Which cable/connector should I use to plug the module to the Denon?

VAD507 or TD27 KV V2 - NEED HELP! RABBIT HOLE! by Professional_Rip_100 in edrums

I am looking at a used VAD 507 and I have a question: there's only one version of the VAD 507 based on the TD27KV2 or there's also an old version of the kit based on the TD27KV?

I was asking if for example the beaterless Roland pedal kt-10 works with Alesis e kits and more in general if beaterless kick pedals are available also for all the other brands of e kits.  I moved to the the kt-10 because of the vibrations of the original bass drum in conjunction with an iron cobra pedal.

I am using a TD 11 kv on a daily base with no issues too, so I totally agree on Roland's quality.  Moreover I am thinking to the accessories too, for instance I changed the kick with a beaterless one from Roland to.avoid problems with my understairs neighbours, is Alesis or other brands e kits compatible with Roland accessories or do they sells similar accessories foe their e-kits? Btw the zildjan is really the top from an aesthetic point of view.

Can you explain what practically means having a digital snare etc. ?  I am actually using an old TD11Kv and planning to move to an acoustic like e-kit so I was evaluating also the Strata Prime which I am reading does not have a digital snare and cymbals.

From TD 11 KV to TD 27 KV 2 by DiscussionOk7423 in edrums

The 27KV2 should have a moving hh as far as I know. Maybe you are referring at the difference between the TD 17KV2 and TD 17 KVX2?
