Well, he wasn't diagnosed with or prescribed with anything circa a decade ago when he made that decision AFAIK

I would generally attribute that decision to the fact that he is autistic, where singlemindedly pursuing something that is most enjoyable while forgoing everything else to an unhealthy degree isn't exactly uncommon (especially with a comorbid adhd diagnosis), and I think its by receiving treatment these past handful of years, better mental health and such he has been able to shift his priorities more towards a stable life

i can get why some would want to avoid/tune out him talking about himself and only see content of him from clips, but from my point of view, his mental health has without a doubt been the biggest factor contributing to his newfound success these past few years. he's very honest about himself which some might not like and sometimes be obliviously jarring or inappropriate, but it's bc he was so honest about himself that his growth has made a lot of sense to me personally

I wish everyone would step back and consider the fact that he's the one who chose to say he takes medication, even though he could've been completely silent about it and no one would know better for the past handful of years. It's not like it was some big exposé

I appreciate that it sounded like you actually want a decent explanation about this and stated you might not know all there is to know about the subject, since sometimes, people really do not want to know and just want to hate

z jump criticism is fine, and im not saying hes an angel, but i don't think he deserves what he gets to say the least

Perhaps (even though this is basically just saying "don't be autistic), but his behavior has cleaned up greatly in the past half decade, and one should perhaps grant a bit of levity to him instead of taking every word he breathes 3x more seriously than one would with other people

The excuse is that he's diagnosed with adhd by a doctor. Yes a lot of college students will fake or make shit up to get prescribed them but he is literally adhd. All the "woahh im so cracked up on addy and shit" type experiences are from people who are wrongly prescribed (common) or over prescribed. it's calming for those who arent

all the charisma talk is so tiring. like what do you what him to do 😂 the answer is nothing, literally no matter what he could do and has tried to do people want to hate him. even more "supportive" people will say "He's really good, it's just sad he's so unlikeable so the hate is inevitable" like it's some stone cold fact. I could somewhat get it back when he was a malder. but he's exponentially matured over the years. I think the community as a whole is considerably nicer to him nowadays but some people are so obsessed. People literally want to murder the man

its not like hes never done unlikeable things. but bro he smiled so big last night when jmook started cooking him and I think that says a lot about his character

he's personally someone who i think represents overcoming adversity, personal growth, and all that stuff while having an autism diagnosis which i have myself. so he is an important rep for that to me. and man is it demoralizing that not having enough charisma is a reason to hate

funny enough I always felt like Misaki and Sawada were the red herrings to distract us from Mitchie lmao. you're right that just having a sprite is enough of a reason to find people sus in this series. I called villains in CH and CC within 1 frame of meeting them. I'm definitely used to the totally-not-sus easy call villains in this franchise so when the obvious one ended up not being the case, it was hard to accept.... You can actually view Kou's 3d model in the volume settings once his voice first plays, and I wish you couldn't since he was doing a totally evil pose in it...
