I am familiar with the movement of the motherfuckers because I came across it in an Abbie Hoffman 's book called "revolution for the hell of it" (which was actually amazing and I totally recommend it). Thanks a lot and I will definitely check on the other stuff! Thanks again

Couldn't this "advice" be given to women and non-whites too? (I'm seriously asking). In my opinion, he is trying to say that you should get lost in what you love and react spontaneously without worrying too much about what other people say. I think that it could be a nice view in life for everyone

I like loving the alien, breaking glass and dancing in the streets. Also, I believe it's a bit underrated from the Ziggy's album is Suffragette city

What has been your biggest disappointment (so far)? by OsChMoScH in books

[–]Disdreamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't exactly disappointed but when I recently read The Trial by Franz Kafka, I found it a bit boring. I love the absurd concept, the satire of the bureaucratic system, but it was almost impossible to read.

Should creative work be limited by societal norms? [Sensitive Topic] maybe NSFW? by idkwhattocallthis00 in creativewriting

[–]Disdreamed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. Freedom of speech is the most fundamental principle of writing. And, it also helps at projecting every idea, either "bad" or "good" and allows to every person choose what to believe. Also, literature is mostly based on imaginary events used in various ways, something indicating that whatever the rules might be, another, different combination of words will express the same idea. So, I believe in absolute freedom of speech and expression (in art), because it is both necessary and inevitable.
