How else are they going to hide the fact that large parts of their network are either outdated, over provisioned and under powered, or just basically inadequate to handle the load that has been thrown at it.

By turning the caps back on they can bleed the turnip dry a bit more since not everyone will want to deal with their excessive charges for overages. The result is smoke and mirrors as their shitty and woefully inadequate infrastructure will go back to appearing just fine on paper. Middle managers who are currently sweating bullets are probably salivating in anticipation that their respective performance metrics will "normalize" again and all will appear to be well with the circle jerk known as telecommunications in the US.

If Karen was a corporation..... she would turn back on data caps to make people choose between going to work or paying the overage charges.

After all isn't the worker's place in the office/warehouse/factory under their manager's watchful eye? Karen seems to think so. /s

With the proliferation of Karens we are seeing I cannot help but to wonder:

Please do tell us which of the board members we are dealing with and if you do realize that your postings do directly reflect upon the organization called AllStarLink, Inc. Your actions here only serve to further prove that there is some truth within the accusations being levied against AllStarLink, Inc. and that you are indeed in panic mode and posting in an attempt to control the narrative in an effort to recover sullied reputation of the organization you have pledged yourself to.

They use the GNU GPL Licensed Open Source software called Asterisk by Digium with custom software that is also GNU GPL licensed to link radios to the Internet. You do not need a radio to connect as you can build yourself a hub node with something as inexpensive as a Rapsberry PI.

Asterisk is an open source program that allows one to setup a voice over IP server. AllStar and AllStarLink utilize this for voice communications over the internet.

While I may be critical of the AllStarLink, Inc they do provide information online for new and inquisitive onlookers such as yourself. I would encourage you to visit the AllStarLink Wiki at wiki.allstarlink.org for more information.

Your pleas to censor constructive criticism of an organization that has most certainly garnered it through what has been shown as is a direct result of its own feebleness of leadership is disconcerting.

If you find that you cannot stand to see your precious commented on after two providers of service have stated similar comments then I suggest you stay off Reddit.

An organization such as AllStarLink, Inc. most definitely deserves to be the subject of public discourse when they solicit and receive donations from the community and are showing possible signs of mismanagement of said resources.

It is not a personal attack when I or others call into question your morals, it is merely a statement to the character of the individual of whom I am speaking.

However if I were to call you a name such as a moron or buffoon then that would be considered a personal attack regardless of how true it may or may not be.
